I just returned from a fabulous trip to NYC last week! We stayed right in Times Square right around the corner from the diamond district and stayed busy all our waking hours! We saw all the major sights and went to see both Wicked and Phantom of the Opera. Both shows were great, but I LOVED Wicked!
I went to visit Leon Mege briefly, and he was very nice and even cleaned and polished my ring for me! He had an appointment or I would have stayed longer to look at his rings for sale. I also had the pleasure of spending most of a day with Harriet who took me to several jewelry stores in the diamond district as well as 5th Ave. There are some amazing rings and other pieces in Tiffany and Cartier in NYC! I tried on the Trinity rings but just couldn''t decide if I''d really wear it. I also enjoyed going in Mikimoto where we saw some incredible South Sea pearls and conch pearls with very, very high price tags. It was interesting going shopping with someone with a 3.6 ct. diamond ring, because sales people were very attentive to her! And speaking of that, I tried on her ring and took a picture so that every time I think mine is too big, I can see just how little it is compared with Harriet''s absolutely gorgeous rock!
Haha! I really appreciated her taking the time to show me around!
Believe it or not, I didn''t buy a single piece of jewelry! There was just too much there to choose from! It was soooo much fun looking, though!
