They look like lovable dogs in spite of their gruff expression which is Winston Churchill-ish
. Their names brought a smile to my face as well - so appropriate.
My grandfather had an old English bulldog named Squire who was his constant companion, but who scared me to death as a child. I was always urged to pet him, but it took every ounce of courage I possessed to actually do it as the darn dog was always slobbering.
. I was afraid he''d turn his head and I''d be covered with that sloppy mess. He never did, and I never was.
After seeing the harrowing "Pedigree Dogs Exposed" show last week, I think that any attempt to make English Bulldogs healthier is a good thing (as long as the breeders are doing all the necessary health testing, obviously). These two are tremendously cute pups.
