@msop04 and @yssie ,
I bought whatever was cheapest on amazon. I bought the Bissell featherweight and dirt devil simpli stick. I think they are $20. I counted 6 of them in my house. One in each bathroom upstairs, one in my kitchen, one in my basement and one in my garage.
I prefer the bissell one bc the mouth is thinner so it gets into smaller areas. I think they didn’t have any in stock when I tried to purchase more, so I bought the dirt devil instead. One of my vacuums I’ve had since 2007. The suction is fine for what I need them for. Mostly hair, cat litter and crumbs on hard surfaces. Especially cat hair around and on top of my kitchen stools and island. When I try sweep my floors the hairs just fly around and fall right back into place.
The garage one is handy for my car too. I just pull my car into my garage and vacuum it out. Also it’s great for the doormats and stairs in the garage.
I have mostly wood downstairs so I will even use them to vacuum the cat hairs on my stairs as well. I find when I try to sweep the stairs, the hairs just fly everywhere. The vacuum is so much more convenient and easy.
I also have a Dyson but it’s really hard to bring back and forth upstairs.
When company comes over I just hide the vacuums in the nearest bedroom closets. Lol!
