The heart's rhythm is controlled by an electrical impulse that is generated from a clump of tissue on the right atrium called the sinoatrial node, often referred to as the heart's natural pacemaker.

It travels to a second clump of tissue called the atrioventricular node and then to the ventricles.

I used to love being in the OR during open heart surgeries. When the chest is all open, and the heart is just beating with nothing holding it back it is a sight to behold. It beats so hard that it looks like it could just jump up right out of the chest. This just reminded me of that.

It really is a cool sight. And one of the most powerful experiences I've had so far was to pump someone's heart with my hands. So cool. I like hearts.

Anyway, metaphorically as the question was intended, it's music for me, primarily singing.
