I've been married for over 13 years now, and I still buy bridal magazines. I'm especially keen on Town & Country Weddings, Inside Weddings, and Martha Stewart Weddings. Tonight, I just discovered that Southern Living now has a bridal magazine, too.

I just love looking at the new styles of dresses, cakes, china, etc. A new bridal magazine can keep me enamored for an evening.

Does anyone else do this? I may be weird, but I don't care. I LOVE looking at them!

I still look at them, but don't buy them. It just makes me envious of all the ideas I never thought of for my own wedding.

Just today I was thinking about how I will have to give up wedding magazines after May and I got SO SAD! But I'm glad to know maybe I don't have to after all...

I like to buy them at Half-Price Books for $1 or $2!

You've just reminded me how much I used to love them. I think I'll go buy one. :-D

That is HILARIOUS because I just bought the recent issue of Martha Stewart Weddings about 20 minutes ago. Even though I am already married I love to drool over the wedding gowns, jewelry, and favors. I keep thinking to myself, "gee, if I could just renew our vows or throw an awesome anniversary party, I would do X,Y,Z."

sigh...

I know. I do the same thing. We were married so young (barely 22), and I feel like our wedding wasn't really ours -- rather our parents wedding. I had a say-so in things in the wedding, but for the most part, my mother did everything. The guests at the wedding were our parents' friends and coworkers -- not ours.

Now that we're older and more established in our ways with our own friends, if we had to do it again, things would have been much different. Of course, our tastes and styles have changed over the years, too.

We've often though of renewing our vows, and maybe someday we will.

That is so funny you would ask because I have been married for 6 years and every season I trot over to the Barnes and Noble and pick up the new Martha. My favorite thing is when the cover features a selection of lovely engagement rings.

Today I put my collection in a bin to keep in the closet (they were getting too heavy for the bookshelf) and DH asked me why I didn't just throw them out! For some silly reason I never intend to throw them away. Then he asked if I was at least going to stop buying them? Also a no! He likes to tell the sales associates, when I am buying them, that we have been married for 6 years. Oh well, a fairly inexpensive guilty pleasure I suppose.

I like them too! I don't buy them, but at the office we used to get free copies of a couple different ones and I'd always snag them. I also found them at the library to check out last year..like 10 of them. The woman scanning my library card asked when I was getting married.. I'm like uh..we've been married since 2001 but I like to play pretend.

I'd love to do a renewal and have another ceremony and dress...fun!

I buy them but I tend not to actually read them. The only one I read cover to cover is WedLuxe (http://www.wedluxe.com). I read every issue and it is my absolute favorite. I am hoping to get my wedding featured in it.

I'm a second time bride and honestly...I've only purchased ONE magazine!!!

They're really fun to look through, but imo, they're all advertising and have zero substance. Viewing the gowns = fun! Viewing the rings=also fun! Everything else would make me wish I had my $ back!!

That is all!!!

I love them too! When I was upgrading my ring a couple years ago I also bought an engagement magazine. It was all about
rings. It was so fun. The thing was dogeared and boy did I have a hard time throwing the thing away. I would look at the pictures
and change my mind for the millionth time again.

I love looking at the dresses and all the flowers and the table settings. I have been married 30+ years!

I just love looking at Town and Country. I call it 'the jewelry book'. Too fun. Definitely a guilty pleasure.

I was so confused how there was a bridal magazine I was completely unfamiliar with and then I noticed - Canada. And I felt better!

But definitely some gorgeous weddings to view!

I've been married for a year and a half, and I still love paging through bridal magazines--my excuse is that a lot of my good friends are getting married, so I have to stay up on the latest trends so I can help them :Up_to_something: .

The other day I told my DH that I think it would be fun to get married all over again, and he just looked at me like I was completely out of my mind.

I had to make sure I didn't make this post....because it perfectly describes me. Only, I've been married 20 years this year and I still buy those magazine. I have a subscription to Martha Stewart Weddings right now. To me, they are just the ultimate eye candy. It makes me happy to leaf through a glossy magazine full of beautiful jewelry(the ring editions are my favorite), wedding cakes and dresses.

I bought them before I got married but I have absolutely no interest in them now. It's really strange but I suppose it's a good thing-I don't need to be wasting even more money on magazines!!

That is also what I do! I don't get them for the wedding stuff though but for the bling, I love those martha covers
My collection is very small though :(sad

Hey! That magazine is right beside me right now :) I am putting together a wedding planning book for my bff who just got engaged. I like to include a couple of magazines for inspiration too, rather than just stuff to keep her organized. I haven't ever bought any for myself though. We aren't getting married for at least a few more years, so I don't see the point yet.

I only buy the ones that showcase the jewels also! But I do pick up InStyle weddings sometimes.

Raising my hand - Magazine Wh*re I am ha ha

It truly is a sickness, but I love 'em all. Mostly shelter magazines, travel, fashion and now Bridal.
