As some of you remember that I had some major eczema on my hands and it was spreading. After going to the doctor then who reffered me to the dermatologist, 5 different creams, putting on gloves for everything, after going on steroids nothing has improved, the only thing that I was left with was an extra 5 lbs from the the Prednisone. UGH, nothing worked!
Then I started to look at what could be the problem... After reading on the net many sleepless nights, I decided that it was probably from within, the first obvious thing to look at was my diet. Ok... Sure, why not? I was obiding to the vegetarian diet for over a year now and quite frankly, it wasn''t working great for me, I always felt bloated on this diet and tired with all the carbs I was ingesting. So after many more days of thinking, I decided to get back on eating meat. I started with fish and a little of poultry. I cut out all of the bread, pasta, rice, cakes, cookies... you know, all the crap that humans can possible make! Not only I felt better almost instantly, the most amazing transformation happens after 7 days: My eczema was actually healing. All the inflammation I had in my fingers is finally gone and my body is working hard at making new cells to repair my broken and damaged skin on my fingers. I also had several patches of "Granuloma Annulare" on my thigh and these went away as well... looks like I am on the mend! My facial skin is also clearing up and I look better ( and feel better too! ). I guess that I am carbohydrate sensitive. Right now I am eating about 50g or less a day, and I feel quite good. Maybe switching diet will take care of my eczema indefinately, lower my cholesterol and triglyceride and also the weight on the scale I am walking 1 hour a day already, so hopefully, coupling this with diet, i should look and feel better in several months...
Doctors and people with diplomas couldn''t even help me. As some of you know, I am a nail technician, and the dermatologist told me to "quit doing nails". Who does give advice like that?! I know it was probably the most obvious thing to him, but to me, I cannot live without that income so it wasn''t an option, and even if I could, it was not even the RIGHT option!
I just wanted to share with all of you my findings... we are all so different from each other, there is not one magic cure! We may cook with the same water, but we all end up with different muffins!
