These are some "informal" shots of my dress. Please be kind, as I am not wearing any sort of proper undergarments, nor did I have on any makeup, etc! The darn thing does not zip up (I have a giant bust) so I''m having alterations done to the back to make it fit. It is a Michelle Roth dress, the same one that Miracles daughter wore (though she is much skinnier than I!) I was having second thoughts when I saw these pictures, but all my girls at work love it, so I think I''m coming to terms!

sorry they''re giant! I tried to make them smaller with my fake Photoshop here at work!

Your dress is beautiful! I hope you don''t have the same issues that miracles and her daughter had with the layering and alterations!

MissManna, the important thing is, do YOU love the dress? It sounds like you aren''t quite sure and are looking for other people to convince you that you made the right choice. But only you can know if you made the right choice for you!

In my honest opinion, I don't think this dress is as flattering as it could be. I know you said you aren't wearing it with the proper undergarments, but I think you need to try and make the skirt poofier (<-- technical term

).

Right now, the skirts looks like it falls straight down, and you're not getting the flattering A-line shape out of the dress.

I would discuss it with the seamstress, and see what she can do.

I''ll say it again - that is my favorite dress ever!

It looked BEAUTIFUL on miracle''s daughter and looks AMAZING on you! I adore that dress! Congrats on a fantastic gown!!

Yes I''ve got it stuffed in the garmet bag, so whenever I first get it out it''s sort of flat. Those accordian looking things actually do bounce out once you fluff it. I figured I would designate someone as the official poofer for the wedding day! I''m hoping once I get the back all fixed, then the top part will be more streamlined, which will help the bottom look better too!

you''re going to have a fluff girl?! I''m jealous!!

per wikipedia among many other common things that it''s associated with but this is the first one that popped into my head:
"A fluffer is a hired member of the crew of a pornographic movie whose role on the set is to sexually arouse the male participants prior to the filming of scenes requiring erections."

me posting that is tacky but I almost spit out my coke when I read you''d have your own fluffer for the day.

sorry! I laughed...and still am

I think that with the proper undergarments up top it will look amazing. I do adore that dress.

I think you look beautiful.

Brandy, I'll admit it... I chuckled a little because I thought of the same thing. I wouldn't have had the nerve to post it though!

I think it''s a really cool dress. I almost chose one like it (Spanish style with lots of layers). I''m not blessed upstairs as you are, so I don''t have advice for you, but I think once the girls are tamed, it will look fabulous.

absolutely LOVE that neckline with the lil fringe type stuff.

Can i get a close up?

ETA: coming back and reading this after the original post, it kind of seems like im asking for a close up of your...how did you put it, "giant bust".

A picture of it on a hanger or something would be just fine. I just want to get a look at the detail.

With a pettycoat, and a really great bra, the dress with look great! I love dramatic wedding gowns!

Look at you MissManna!!

I have my daughter''s dress in my back room. I haven''t wanted to look at it, because of the cigar ash burn on it.

Your pictures are nice and sparkly. You definately used a better camera than I have. That dress is so amazing in person, isn''t it?

Are you wearing shoes in this picture? How much length do you have to play with? You know me, I like poofiness. I am going to suggest that you try it on with a petticoat. See how you feel about the dress with more poof. I think you will

the difference. The poof will also provide the added benefit of slenderize your midsection and your ample girls.

I don''t think you will need to go tier crazy like I did. We needed to add a lot of crinoline under the tiers and use a petticoat.

I don''t think you will need to do the individual tier additions, but I would like to see how you feel with a petticoat on. If you give it a try and let me know what you think.

Were you able to order the additional fabric yet?

Brandyz28: Thanks! I am really loving it!

marchswallow: Well, I do really like it. It doesn''t fit properly yet, which I think plays into some of my doubts. I had my heart set on the Melissa Sweet Dora, but it was way out of my price range, and with my chest being so unproportional to the rest of me, I had huge doubts about finding a pre-owned that would fit. So I love my dress, it just took some convincing, haha.

cleopatra, bee, guilty pleasure, lanie, izzy03: Thanks! You''re all so sweet!

gwyn: In one of miracles threads there is a close up picture of the dress, I don''t really have any! Not yet anyways. It''s basically a thin fabric with a lace overlay, and then all of the beading.

Miracles: It is so pretty! It photographs very well!

I am not wearing shoes in the picture. With 2 inch heels or so, the length will actually be perfect. I''m not one for a lot of dress, but am going to try it on with a petticoat at your suggestion! My dress isn''t quite as wonky as your daughter''s was, thank goodness. I''ve got an e-mail in to order more of the fabric, so we''ll see!!!

I L-O-V-E your dress!!! You look beautiful in it. And it''s very flattering (especially after it''s properly fitted!). Lots of luck!!!

Gorgeous missmanna....once the top is fixed and fits you properly and the poof is in it. You will look stunning! Amazing. I think you did great!

That looks great!!! Very fancy :) :)

Gwen: Here''s a close up of the detail of the Marina gown Miss Manna is wearing. It is very blingly and sparkly...
