my girls.jpg

My girls were strongly bonded litter-mates who lived 14 joyful years.
We rescued them at 8 months; their first owner abused them.
I'm sure the first died of a broken heart, the second soon followed.

I wouldn't bring this additional painful news up, but Trekkie asked about them in my other sad thread.
Too much sadness for one thread. :blackeye:

They were so loved and cherished, the perfect dogs.
Here's my "Puppy Love" thread from ten years ago - though I can't bring myself to even scroll through it. :cry2:

Happily my companion parrot is doing very well.
He's such a sweetheart, very tame even with new people.
Except for work he goes nearly everywhere with me.

What a sweet and gorgeous baby. So glad he is doing well and goes with you almost everywhere.:kiss2:

I’m so sorry for the loss of your gorgeous puppers. They look very well loved and cherished and have the most delightful scruffy faces. Thank goodness for the 14 years of you they had after that bad start. They’ll have loved you all the more for saving them

My goodness kenny, my heart absolutely aches for all that you have endured. What gorgeous wee pups. What is your parrot's name? He is a handsome guy! Millions of hugs from across the globe.

don't know if you like cats but our 'stray' Tibby gives the best hugs and sends one your way ( sorry that's a bit of stinky cat food he's keeping for latter on )20190727_143222.jpg
im really sorry about your pups Kenny

your parrot is very handsom

Thanks, yum yum, stinky cat food.

My bird's name is Bibi.
He's a Yellow Sided Green Cheek Conure.

His parents fed their chicks until right before the eyes opened.
When they did the first thing Bibi saw was the human who took over the hand feeding with a syringe.
He never saw his parents again.

That's why he's imprinted on humans.
I've had him 4 years and he's been on hundreds of shoulders of new people that we run into out in public.
He's such a joy.

Wow - just wow. Those little pups always made me smile whenever you posted a picture - they were so cute. I am sure they had a wonderful life with you. It is so heartbreaking that our fur babies don't have as much time with us as we would want.
Your losses have been staggering to say the least. You have managed to navigate through them thus far and I can only wish for brighter days ahead for you. At our lowest points we can't imagine what joy would look or feel like and yet it does happen. Words seem inadequate to comfort but rest assured that the sentiment behind them is full of warm thoughts and good wishes for you in the weeks and months ahead.

So sorry for your losses.
Sending hyber hugs...

I'm so sorry about your puppies Kenny :( They were adorable girls.

Your parrot is very cute too! Such pretty colours.

Urgh, Kenny, this is all a bit sad & crap. Sending huge hugs your way....

So sorry Kenny. Giving you a hug and wishing you peace. We are going through this now after losing our beloved companion. Losing our furry companions brings an emptiness to the house and creates a hole in our hearts.

Geez Kenny, I thought the last 12 months had been a bit rough for me with the exception of the arrival of Finn. I'll never complain about minor stuff again.

Sending you some good vibes from here in Australia, you definitely need them at the moment.

So Sorry Kenny, thank you for posting your link, I loved those girls always made me smile.

I'm so sorry for your many losses Kenny. I know the pain never goes away, but that all the good memories eventually rise to the top, and that's the consolation. Take care.

Aw Kenny, I'm so very sorry. I know my pets feel like family members and I always feel the loss very acutely. I remember pics of them here on PS. I don't think we ever fully get over the loss but the pain will lessen over time. Many hugs.

I am so sorry, kenny. Your losses have been absolutely overwhelming. My heart goes out to you.

Deb

You loose your partner, & now your fur babies?? That really sticks. I'm so sorry Kenny, I hope your days ahead are brighter. On another note, Bibi sure is a beauty!

I'm so sorry Kenny. You've had so many losses lately:cry2:.

That’s a lot, Kenny. I’m sorry you have had so much sadness to endure.

I love your parrot. I grew up with birds.

Oh no, I am so sorry :cry2:

A triple sucker punch. So much loss for you Kenny. Bibi is a beautiful companion and I hope he helps you to breath fully again, one day at a time.
I’m so glad you came back to this community, many caring folks here that I hope will give you some degree of comfort.

I'm so sorry Kenny. :(sad BIG HUGS:!:

How great it was that you rescued both pups! We rescued a pup last August and have been trying to locate litter mates as the rescue was local. I am so sorry about your pooches.

{{{Hugs}}} to to you, Kenny.

That's so sad, I'm really sorry. It's hard enough to lose one beloved pet, let alone two. I'm glad to hear about your little parrot, he sounds adorable.

Eta: Oh Kenny, I saw your other thread. I'm truly sorry for all the loss you've had to endure.
