My husband was winding me up the other day and said I scraped a car as I was reversing out of a parking space. I pulled over and was all set to wait for the driver to come back to their car. Turns out he was just pulling my leg, but I was willing to own up to even a tiny scratch!

Karl, I'm sorry. The same happened to my Accord and a long time ago someone hit an old Volkswagen I was driving it caught on fire and he sped away. Whether it's property damage or leaving the scene of an accident it's a nasty thing to do.

It was just outside the range of the video cameras. :{
So far the insurance claim process has been relatively painless.
Called my agent and they had me call the company direct, lady was really nice.
Waiting for a call to set up an appointment for the appraiser to look at it and from the rental car company about a rental.
I was pleasantly surprised to find out I had rental insurance.
500 deductible because it was a car that hit it so its collision instead of 250 which stinks.

I had a $500 collision deductible before I dropped collision and wrecked my 99 two months later. I guess look on the bright side. You have collision and it can be fixed. My car was totaled. Nobody was willing to do business with me. Car was too far gone front demolished and engine might have been pushed backwards into car. I mean it was gone. At least it can be fixed!

A couple of years ago kept friends and I were in a car park and saw this guy hit and dent a parked car. We stared and yelled at him to leave a note, and he went back and did so. Well we went to check the note and do you know what it said? It just said f&%k you! We couldn't believe it what a total prick! Luckily we'd taken down his licence plate just in case so we left our own note for the guy. I still can't believe what a jerk that guy was.

It was only $125 a year for full coverage over liability so I kept it covered.

The appraiser was out already and he thinks the repair costs will be over the value.
He said he would work with me if I wanted to keep it and fix it up myself.
So I am waiting for a number.
I am not impressed with enterprise car rental.
Still haven't heard from them.

Doesnt that just tick you off! I got hit about a month ago by a lady who tried to pull into my lane. She crushed in
my drivers side tire panel. Grand total $2k...it didnt look all that bad but sure cost a lot to get fixed. The ladies
car was only 5 months old and it was the second accident they had had. I dont predict that car will make it to its
5th birthday

Well got my peanut settlement.
After the deductable it wasn't much but its enough to get it back on the road without having to come up with money I don't have if I do the work with a friends help using junkyard parts....
using any new parts for the repair estimate it would have been totaled and in my state if its over 10 years old it has to be junked if its totaled and I would have not got enough to get another car after deductable.
Have a rental until wed to get it up and running.

some of the parts are totally unavailable at any of the junk yards in my area.
It is going to take 3-4 days to get parts.
Rental has to go back tomorrow.
