My best friend is getting engaged!

I am so excited! My best friend is getting engaged next month. She and her BF have been talking about it for a few months, and she confessed to me that she would say "Yes!" if he asked, but she has no idea it's happening next month! He's planning an intimate lakeside proposal followed by a surprise engagement party, complete with her sister being flown in from NY.

He asked for my advice, as I am known amongst my friends as the "diamond lady", so I told him to check out WF and BGD. In the end, he is choosing to use a wholesaler that he knows from his work who supplies diamonds to Blue Nile and is meeting with him next week to design the ring. I know that she likes princess cuts and that his budget is around $5000, so I am excited to see what he decides. And I will be sure to post pics of the ring once he has it and it is on her hand!

I'm just so excited for them!!!!

So, her soon to be fiancé texted me today. He got the ring - 1.22 princess E SI2, white gold solitaire. He's picking it up Tuesday and has promised to send me pictures! I'm so excited! She's out of the country at the moment, so he picked the perfect time to get all this together. I can't wait to see it (and of course, loupe it - ha!)
