Ruby, I'm not at all trying to be rude by asking this, but do you ever post about jewelry? Like at all? I searched through your old posts and can't find any. It could be the new platform, but I didn't see any. I'm just wondering why you are on a diamond forum when all you do is post political threads and bash liberals.

Was just coming here to say this. FreeBeacon is on the same level as Breitbart in terms of gross alt right journalism anyway. Keep on worshiping the Faux News gods. Bill O' Reilly's impeccable track record of sexism, harassment, misogyny, and racism speaks for it's damn self. Seems like that and AOL are her only news sources, and I haven't been on AOL since the days when I had a Pearl Jam poster hanging on my bedroom wall.

If I recall correctly Ruby used to sell on ebay and may have been here to learn rather than seek advice or post her own stuff. I have grown to love Ruby's antagonistic posts at this point. She's like our resident Maxine from those old Hallmark cards.

I still sell on ebay but have always kept it separate and apart from this board. The only thing I put in Preloved was my mom's diamond ring when I had to spend down so she could quality for Medicaid.

And I "heart" you too, Monarch. Could you imagine if we all posted and agreed. Boring.

Last night was slow, but not the night before (winking icon)

I liked the other board better. We had the little icons to the right for easy access and you could edit the title.

In the afternoon, I watch MSNBC and have it on in the background as I prepare dinner.

Then I turn to Fox. I like the 5 and the blonde (sorry senior moment and cannot remember her name) and I find Tucker Carlson knowledgeable but he needs to stop being so antagonistic. But when Bill O'Reilly comes on I switch to CNN.

For me, it is not the station, but the anchor. There are those on both stations that I will not watch, and O'Reilly is indeed one of them. But Rachael Maddow is unwatchable in my opinion.


Is he the one who commented on Maxine Waters hair. Googled her, and could not figure out what was wrong with it so I thought his comment was odd.

I give Ruby a lot of credit because she actually learns things and is open to differing opinions. I have a lot of respect for conservative ideaology (in many ways; not all) and I enjoy the back-and-forth if people are learning from each other. When it's constant bickering and smackdowns, it gets a little old, though. The article Soxfan (I think?) posted yesterday about blue lies and not getting too tied up in our own groups so we don't end up with that safety-in-numbers hivemind is so true. I'm glad conservatives who are outnumbered here post. One, it's entertaining and interesting. Two, imo they are the brave ones stepping out of their comfort zone. You won't catch me on a mostly conservative forum whether I like the topic or not! (Sad!)
 
Aw you are nice to say this monnie. I can tell you that I get crap from hard line right wingers on a different forum. I don't post there much because it is too big and too many jerks on both sides. Those are the idiots we all complain about. :lol:

Yes, DF, I'm glad to see Red is starting to post again. It takes motivation to bother, something I don't possess presently.
 
I almost missed this exchange. I wasn't reading this thread. I am so glad I tuned into it. I have really grown to enjoy all the "conservative" posters named in this thread: ruby; AnnaH; red; and Jenn. I am not sure if I consider ruby a true conservative, though. (ruby, do you consider yourself a conservative?) (In my opinion, ruby just expresses opinions that are sometimes at odds with liberal opinions; I do not feel she is always conservative.)

I love Monnie, of course, for many reasons, one being her ardent feminism. her standing up for ruby here is just another feather in her cap, another sign of her humanity. And Kate's great. I have nothing to say about Dancing Fire. (Where's that wink icon from the other forum?)

You know what, soxfan? I don't. I wish I still had the passion to do so, but I don't. I live in fear that I'm going to be thrown off Pricescope for a failure to post about diamonds and jewelry! I almost never leave Hangout!

I also like it when non-liberals post. My whole FB circle, the city I live in, and the people I work with are all very liberal (as am I). PS is one of the places where I can get other viewpoints that aren't in line with my own.

You are very correct. I always considered myself a moderate.

But I also have the need to speak up for those who I feel are not being given a fair shot. I know of no past President (yes Obama included) who has been treated so viciously.

I did not care for Trump at all in the beginning. See my earlier posts.

There are things I do not agree with him or that of the Republican party, especially guns.

I used to identify quite a bit more with the Democrats. I come from a very blue, always has been and always will be, State. But I feel some in the party are now trying to take it too far to the left.

It is funny that some of you did not agree about calling the President moron or imbecile. Yet that is a major theme of the far left to be politically correct, and if you are not, then you are shamed.

And I do not care for what I am seeing in real life with their militant actions to those who do not agree with Trump. There were problems at one or two more colleges where the guest speakers were shouted down and had to leave for their own safety. From what I can remember, I have never heard of conservative students ever doing this.

I give credit where it is due. Despite the vitriol that he has experienced, it cannot be denied that Trump has had some accomplishments in his short time in office. But according to mainstream news, he is considered a complete failure who should be impeached.

It is because of people like Schumar, Pelosi, Warren, Maddow, etc. that push me further and further right.

At this time, I just paid off the college of one, am currently paying for the college of another, and will soon beginning to pay for that of a 3rd.

If you read my exchange with Love Dogs I have one who is applying to graduate school at $50 or more a pop, and who knows what that will cost.

No funds for jewelry, but I would not give up my original diamond ring any way.

My diamond is gorgeous because my husband gave it to me. Beyond that I have absolutely no knowledge about diamonds, other than the mere basics, that I could offer others
