Wow, I''ve never heard of some of these movies.

Are these well-known?? "The Secretary", "Donnie Darko", "Labrynth", "Spirited Away", "Harold and Maude".

Maybe I spend too much time on Disney movies these days....

Rounders

Roman Holiday

Mom and Pageant Matron. I swear I am losing my memory as I age.

My favourite movie of all times is pretty unknown. It is the only movie that, after I reached the end, I sat thinking for 15 minutes and then watched it from the beginning again.

It is Conspiracy, with Kenneth Branagh, and it tells the story of the Wannsee Conference. Yep - a movie about a meeting had me glued to the chair. It is absolutely chilling.

For more light hearted choices,

The original 3 Star Wars
All the Indiana Jones
Dangerous Liasons (well, not light hearted but)
Any good period movie
Any good fairy tale movie

Something Shiny - Labyrinth was from the eighties/early nineties and was rather popular at the time, it falls into the Never ending story, Princess bride type category. Spirited Away was an Anime released a few years back. It was brilliantly written and had fantastic soundtrack to it and there was a big hulabaloo over it and I LOVED it. It won quite a few awards as well. I''d see it if I were you.

I wanted to add:
Love Actually
Sweet Home Alabama
Practical Magic
The other sister
Stepmom
The Black Stallion
Black Beauty
Interview with A vampire
Little WOmen

Thanks, DF! Those actually sound right up my alley, wonder how I missed them....

Oh, yeah, I don''t GO to movies, I just watch them on the tube!

Inspired by the Speechless Movies thread, I began wondering what movies you HAVE to watch every time they come on TV.

Every time I see them on TV, I HAVE to watch ''Shawshank Redemption'', ''Wizard of Oz'', and ''Dude, Where''s My Car'' even though I own everyone of those DVD''s.

Which movies can you just NOT pass up??
Next to Legally Blonde, there is no movie i HAVE to watch, but it seems like i would rather watch a movie with commericals, than watch the DVD that is 4 feet away from me. My boyf laughs everytime becuase of this. There is something comfortable about commericals
