Joe Scarborough is a former Trump supporter and a former Congressman who belonged to the equivalent of today's Freedom Caucus when he served in The House. He is not a liberal. I saw what is on this video clip this morning and it frightened me. If the president is becoming disoriented, there is no way to remove him from office and no telling what he will do. And who will tell us what he is really up to or protect us from his actions?

The show this morning showed an interview of President Trump by a reporter. I did not see it in this video clip. I will look for it. it was harrowing.

Well, you know with me that you're preaching to the choir!

It is *extremely* frightening to have such an incoherent, quite possibly mentally impaired person leading the U.S. Joe Scarborough has seemingly "seen the light" for awhile now; I can only hope that more of his supporters will take off the blinders.

Here it is:

But her emails...

He is a total fraud. I don't think he's mentally impaired. I think he just isn't any more intelligent or fit to run this country than your average door-to-door vacuum salesman. Trump supporters? Bamboozled, is what.

This is what you get when you combine a spoiled, entitled, egomaniac who doesn't read much and lacks the ability to think critically and give him a job that he is utterly unequipped to handle.

Yes he is... turning into a liberal within 4 month into office.

He can't keep a straight thought... What is he talking about?

Thank you for trying to cheer me up, but I am a cynic. I don't believe in Santa Claus or the Tooth Fairy and I don't think that suddenly we were blessed with a president who is "all there" and merely out to make a whole lot of money for himself and his family (although he is doing that). He can be both a pirate and demented at once and I am (now) fearing we hit the jackpot. But keep trying to console me if you wish.

I also saw this this morning as well. A few weeks ago, Joe began ringing the alarm bells on a Monday morning after DJT had weekend of crazy tweeting. Maybe it was the "Obama wiretapped me" episode. The following week, Joe seemed to drop this whole line of reasoning, I think maybe after McMaster came in and Bannon was ousted from the NSC and things seemed to be settling down. I said to my husband, just wait until the next outrageous thing Trump does and Joe will be back on his outraged routine. I watch Morning Joe because I often like the guests but Joe & Mike can make me a bit mental. That's entertainment, I guess. I do agree, especially after reading the transcript from the AP interview a week ago, that something is seriously wrong. Is he overwhelmed? Tired? Old? Even more incompetent than we thought? Is there a medical issue? A combination of all this and more? He seems like someone who needs control, and likes the familiar and he is really out of his element. That alone can be enough for a control freak to lose it a bit. Also, all of the intense criticism, which he cannot handle. It is all very troubling. I say every day to the DH, how is this happening? Are people not realizing it? What do we do?? I really cannot wrap my head around it. Given the unstable and dangerous circumstances we are currently in, it certainly seems beyond comprehension. I am really not a hand wringer, and try not to be a "jump to conclusions" type of person but, man. Watching these interviews, reading transcripts, seeing some of the decisions he flippantly makes. Yikes. To Monarch's point, I do think he is a bamboozler. I used to say kind of a bad salesman, because at least a good salesman actually might care about who he is selling to.

I just saw this tweet from Glenn Thrush. I thought it was interesting and slightly on topic (but not entirely).

What I think is interesting about his speeches are that they are primarily very repetitive. Unless he is reading from the teleprompter. Until he ad libs some craziness. Or just starts making things up that he may, or may not, think are true. In his interviews, he just goes over the same topics endlessly. I always at that I find it completely fascinating, as well as completely terrifying.

HI,

I watched this program as well. I have voiced my opinion several times and no matter how I read others comments I keep coming back to my original theory of the man.

Before I become a Dr. I do want to state that there are some on the board who have told us they suffer from some sort of mental illness. Their lives are not nutso, but some take medications and have therapy and live a pretty normal life. If they didn't tell us of their diagnosis we would not be the wiser. Basically they are just like us. But, they are aware they have some differences.

Donald Trump is delusional. The interview and so many of his ramblings bring that to the fore.
Now, the connection that I make is that delusional disorder is part of paranoia. His inability to take information that clears Pres. Obama of wire tapping him is part of the paranoia.

He is rational at times. This mental disorder does effect his life. He appears to have a good personality when he meets people, and all seem to think they did get along and have some sort of the meeting of the minds with him. A week later he seems to forget and may state the opposite.
Delusional disorder is difficult to diagnosis and as far as I know, it is difficult to treat.

The Republicans won't watch him. The Press will and we the public will. He is the most dangerous person in our world, but it won't show up all the time So others may not see it.
So I agree with your basic conclusions. It is scary. Remember the cabinet can remove him.

Annette
His tweets give us a good idea of his mental health.

Yes he is... turning into a liberal within 4 month into office.

He's not "turning into" anything. Anyone paying attention during the campaign would have seen that 1) his talking points were just that - a regurgitation of other people's issues and talking points, and not based on his own research, knowledge, or deeply held beliefs (ha!) and 2) his "positions" changed regularly based on the most recent thing he heard or person he talked to or what he thought his audience of that day would applaud. Suggestion that he has turned is suggesting that there is a "there" there. If there is, it's made up of his advisors and not intrinsic to the man himself, at least as far as policy goes...

I watch Morning Joe as my husband loves MSNBC and always has it on in the mornings. I have to admit that I get frustrated at how often Joe interrupts and talks over Mika (and how often she allows it to happen). To me it personifies how often smart capable women get pushed aside and trampled over whenever there's a male ego in the room. I also get frustrated that Mika doesn't seem as capable of making a good argument as others on the show (I have to admit that I've often said to DH that I wish they had someone more forceful and more articulate as co-host to balance things out a bit), so I think Joe gets to run roughshod quite a bit with his ideas. I'm frequently wincing. But at least this explains some of the more conservative ideas that are expressed on the show. I had been confused as we just recently got the channel and I had assumed that MSNBC was a more liberal news outlet.
