Wedding MOB dress?

My mom is having the hardest time finding something to wear to my wedding, and with less than two months to go, she''s starting to really panic. Mom''s really having an issue with being in her early 40s and wearing something that''d look more fitting on a 60 year old, and she also has a big butt (as in, the rest of her is probably a size 12, but her butt is a 22). Does anyone know where she could get something, preferably in blue or green, that doesn''t look like an old lady dress and has a flowy enough skirt to accommodate le booty? What are your moms wearing??? Thanks muchly!

Hmm, it sounds like you need formal separates, which sadly are hard to find and tend not to be youthful. Maybe try this jacket +/- the blouse and a coordinating skirt? Black satin skirt

Or you might have time to get a simple but lovely dress in a 22 and have the top altered to fit. This is beautiful, but $$$$. More size 22 dresses.

ETA: Donna Ricco might be a good place to look too.

wow, you guys are good! i meant to check this thread again earlier, but my invites arrived, so i''ve given myself carpal tunnel by being too anal to have someone help me address them and the handwriting not match (just in case EVERYONE invited to the wedding decides to get together and compare their envelopes).

I think it''s possible if they rush it she would, I''d call and check to make sure. If you went with Nordstrom or Saks or somewhere like that then definitely.

All the dresses from the dept. stores, if they are in stock, should arrive within a week or so. The question is whether she can find them at the store to try on, to avoid lots of shipping charges and returns. Or, she may want to purchase several online all at the same time, knowing that she''ll be returning all but one. If she''s quick about it, she can make the returns before the credit card bill arrives. Oh, and if she orders online, I believe she can return to a B&M store, to avoid double shipping charges.

I love Siri's styles. They have some great MOB dresses, and since they're custom made, size differences could possibly be taken into account from the get-go. They're based in SF. Of course, timing is an issue and you'd probably have to order immediately.
