Does this woman know who the Brown Shirts were to have made this absolutely disgusting comparison.

This comment doesn't bother me at all, ruby. Sometimes when people make comparisons to Nazi Germany or the Holocaust they do so in ways that minimize the enormous suffering of the Jewish people or trivialize the evil of Adolf Hitler. So I was perfectly ready to greet Miss Streep's comments as being among these. I do not think they were, however. In my opinion, she was simply using the metaphor of the brownshirts, who were, indeed, thugs and bullies from Hitler's earlier days, before he consolidated power, to describe the right-wing bullies now molesting her.
