Hi again everyone,

I posted a couple of weeks back when we bought the ring...so exciting!
I''m raging we didn''t get a picture of it because I haven''t seen it since (bf won''t let me....he''s so mean sometimes lol!)
So, this weekend is a long weekend here in Ireland, and we''re going away for a couple of nights. Not sure, but I''m hoping he''s gonna pop the question sometime during the course of the weekend. I''m not getting my hopes up too much though because knowing my bf he''ll purposely hold off because he thinks I might expect it....SO frustrating!
Wish me luck! I''ll let you all know how it goes when I get back to work on Tuesday! (probably still not engaged but how and ever!)

ooh hope it happens this weekend!! My bf is the same in that he won''t let me see the ring at all. I don''t think mine will do it till christmas although Im hoping that he will do it sooner than that-maybe the bank holiday weekend in october as we''re all going away. Enjoy the days off!

I was reading your thread a while back alright when you got your ring in NYC. Great story. A friend of mine did the same thing and she got a gorgeous ring. Yours sounds absolutely gorgeous too. I hope you get to wear it sooner than you think! Crossing everything for you...

I''m engaged! BF was being very sneaky about things on Saturday....we were in town doing some shopping and it was a lovely morning (for a change here...the weather has been sooooo bad lately...). After about an hour browsing the stores, and not buying anything he said ''Is there anything you need to buy or will we just head home?. So I said ''Yeah, sure let''s go so, I''m kind of over this etc etc.
On the way home BF kept driving past our exit and said we might aswell go for a drive. We often do this, so I didn''t even put two and two together at this stage.
We arrived at the beach and headed out for a walk. I didn''t have the best shoes on for a walk so after about 10 mins he suggested we sit on the dunes and relax. While I''m busy looking for a nice spot to plonk myself down I turn around and he''s down on one knee. Even though I was half expecting it.....I couldn''t help but have a tear in my eye. He went on to say how much he loves me, why he has known I''m the girl for him since we first met and he was just waiting for the perfect moment to ask me. He remembered that was the exact beach where we went on one of our first dates 4 years ago this month...I had forgotten but he reminded me

. Then he said would I spend the rest of my life with him and make him the happiest man on earth and of course I said yes through many tears of joy and hugged him so tight I squeezed all his breath out! Later that night we got ready to go out for dinner and when we arrived in the restaurant he had 5 of my closest friends there waiting for me and we all had a great night.
I haven''t had a chance to get a picture of the ring yet but I hope to this evening and will try and post them then. Thanks for looking!

aww that''s such a romantic proposal!! Congratulations!!! Looking forward to seeing pics of the ring.

Yep I hope that my bf surprises me sooner than christmas-he admitted yesterday that he had been looking things up for ideas so at least he is planning early!!

That would be great!! We''re heading to either Westport or Kerry that weekend with friends so Im not sure if he''d do it with them around-he''s pretty private that way. It would be great if he could do it before then and we could celebrate that weekend

I was just coming back to your thread to see how things went but it didn''t look like much activity was going on from the number of posts...I''m so glad I read through it!!! Your proposal story brought tears to MY eyes! DH proposed to me on the beach of Lake Michigan where we spent our first sunrise together, it was magical. So reading your post had me re-living it all over again. I''m soooo very happy for you!
