Married, No Ring

Could you imagine Victoria Beckham with no rings? She''s got a choice of e-rings, all with gorgeous honker sized diamonds. I don''t think women like Jennifer Garner or Katie Holmes will ever give up wearing their rings. Their rings are too famous!

I don''t think it''s a trend, possibly a passing fad, but I wouldn''t make too much of it.

JLo was always that way and she has an assortment of gorgeous rings too. Sometimes she wears them, sometimes she doesn''t. Then again, she just had twins not too long ago, so maybe she went sans e-ring for a while because of the babies.

I think It has to do with fashion. Jennifer Lopez was wearing a beautiful set of ring and earrings. If I had so many jewelry as they have, I will be wearing different jewelry depending the occasion.

For me, it''s the comfort. I don''t like wearing rings.

Didn''t notice yes or no at the Oscars -- the time I noticed recently that JLo wasn''t wearing a band even was during her musical performances on SNL. I can understand during the sketches that you''re playing a character -- but at the mic you''re yourself, yanno? This is when I notice lack of rings the most -- because there are so many hand closeups of married female artists.

For instance -- last night Crystal Bowersox was wearing an engagement ring. Never noticed that before. I wonder if she got engaged this week after her health scare last week? FWIW it seemed to be a square cut stone between 1 & 1.5 cts, simple solitaire. More traditional than I''d think a quirky gal like her would prefer but simple & elegant.

I''m so glad you mentioned Crystal!!! Last night I had to rewind and pause on that shot...I never noticed the ring before either. It seemed so out of place on her but then I thought...I wonder if she''s a PSer. It looked to me like she might have diamond studs in the second holes in her ears also.
