Private sector, tech, my DH saw between 1-3% increase which they called "raise" and sometimes a bonus.
At the same company my first year I got a 16+% bonus and a 4% raise. Then I got a 20% raise and a 20% bonus. Then I quit bc the latest boss they put in charge of my department was harassing me. According to the stats I took our win rate from 10% to 50% so I guess that's why they gave me those increases and bonuses.
I find the private sector to be all over the place....I feel like the only time any adjustments are made happen when someone produces an offer from a competitor and the company matches it to keep the employee.
In the public sector 1-4% were considered COLA while a change in title usually got you around a 10% increase in NY.
my job is claiming that they'll do a market adjustment based on how much more competitive they are in the bay area but we'll see how much it'll end up being
