With the best of them. My favorite Chinese place sets out these delicious spiced nuts as an appetizer - those were fun to learn on!

HA!! You''d be very surprised. My kids knew how to handle chopsticks at a very early age, as in pre K.

My bf HATES wen I have to use chop sticks to eat our take out Chinese food... I went to China and had to show my skills!

C''mon DF. It''s very trendy to know how to use chopsticks. I''ll bet there are fewer PSers who know how to use a knife and fork PROPERLY.

try picking up a marble with a pair of chopsticks

i''am one of the very few that can do it.

you would be surprise by how often i see (even Chinese) people holding a pair of chopsticks the improper way. my wife would be a good example, she crosses her chopsticks like the letter X
14.gif

btw; most of the time i''d use fork and plate to eat Chinese food unless i''m eating noodles.

You got me. I eat mine with a fork.

Hey, it''s better than some people, who would cut their entire steak up first...with the SIDE of their fork!!

Great. Now I''m hungry (starving!) for Chinese food. And steak.

oh yeah ? not with the wooden square type. try to do it with the round plastic ones.

I love using chopsticks! It took me ages to master them but now I can eat away using them.

I even have my own pair of metal collapsible chopsticks that I carry around in my purse. They were brought back to me from Taiwan by my Chinese/Taiwanese friend.

So there.

I really enjoy eating with chopsticks... when DH and I started going out 9 years ago, he would take me to chinese restaurants in Toronto, and all these waiters would come up to me (often the only white person in the place at the time) to tell me how natural i was with the chopsticks...

Man, I love chopsticks! My husband cheats and uses a fork, but I''ll have none of it! It''s just not Chinese food if it''s not eaten with a set of chopsticks!!

I cross mine but hubby is able to pick up round objects floating on WATER with the rounded plastic chopsticks. He''s good!

I use chopsticks quite well.

I''ve eaten sushi at least once a week for years and years, plus chinese food every once in a while.

I learned how to use chopsticks when I was in elementary school... 3rd grade. They had a demonstration on it, and we all ate chinese food with them.

I second that

My grandmother grew up in China and taught me at a young age, although I have to admit that I tend to cross them. If my grandmother were still alive she''d be horrified!

My husband, on the other hand, is Vietnamese and prefers to use a fork.

The kids are pretty good with chopsticks, though the mostly only use them when we''re having pho.

I do have to position them first, but I know how to use them!

Too easy DF!

I taught DH how to use chopsticks, and he is as white as white american comes
9.gif
never did use one until he met me, but I admit he''s better at it than I am

I''ve gone downhill and out comes the FORK
