...did i see you mention in rocky talky that you''re starting a new project with brian gavin?

can you fill us in, or is it too soon to tell?

i''m hoping to get a little pair of studs like geckodani''s in august, but this is just a small thing. what are you looking into?

i just love ''projects''....

Haha, nothing gets past a PS''er! I am looking at a sapphire project. Wink is getting a stone in for me to look at and the setting will come from BGD

a friend, my dear - a friend. :)

sapphire sounds wonderful! i asked some questions about sapphires recently and ellen, stepcutgirl and lostsapphire were pointing me in the right direction. just recently i''ve bought a few cheapies on ebay to get a better idea of what i like, and i''ve probably now abandoned the idea of an asscher sapphire and have moved more to a cushion. there''s so many gorgeous shapes around! - what shape are you considering?

been thinking of you lots recently and hope all is well with you. xo

I''m sorry friend

The sapphire I am considering is a 2.08 Richard Homer concave cut. Its a beautiful shade of blue and I am really looking forward to seeing the video Wink is doing for me.

I will definitely be spending more time in CS. I have seen lots of lovely coloured stones lately and will be buying a lot more!

wow! we are on identical paths with this!

i''m thinking step traps, trills or half moons, but most likely half moons. i was set on an asscher and a more square look, but from what i''m reading and seeing, it just doesnt show the color as well as a different cut.

anyway, do keep us up to date on this! will this be in yellow gold? i wondered if you were specifically after something to wear with your beautiful new brian gavin ring? i know you felt that it didnt go well with your engagement ring....

anyway, looking forward to going through this process with you; mine will be next year probably, so i will enjoy cheering you from the sidelines on this! :) (vicarious jewelry enjoyment - it''s the best kind!)

I don''t know what colour metal to have. I did fancy white gold or platinum for this one. I think there would be too much going on to wear it with my 5 stone ring. I don''t seem to have enough finger lol!

I don''t know much about choosing a great sapphire.. thats why I thought it would be best to just pick one and have Wink look at it for me. Its a long way for it to come just for me to not like it and send it back, so the video evaluation really helps.

I will definitely keep you informed about what I am doing. Its nice to share the experience!

How exciting Maisie!! I can''t wait to see what you decide!!
