Lost in mail?????

Eeeek Can someone help me I sent a package off on Dec 16th to Canada. It was insured, I am worried due to the fact it was a Christmas gift for a relative (gold link necklace) and they have not received it yet.

How did you send it, USPS, or UPS?? You should be able to track it with the tracking number.

I sent it Usps from Florida. Thing is I lost the tracking number. Is their any hope??

This time of year Iv had packages held up in customs for over 3 weeks.
Give it a little more time.

It''s only been two weeks (with a bunch of holidays mixed in there). I don''t think the post office considers anything lost until after 30 days. So just hope the mail was slow due to the holidays and increased volume.

Hubby is Canadian and he is just amazed by the USPS! HE says that nothing makes it in anything less than 2 weeks to Canada. We once sent a certified letter to Canada that took 6 weeks to get there, so it is probably still out there. Hubby says that he would be concerned about Canada''s system.. not the US''s.. so I am not sure if that makes a difference should you have to out a trace one it... You know what I mean?

I had TWO packages get lost this year by USPS and some with UPS and FedEx that took *ridiculous* amounts of time to arrive....I was really disappointed in everyone this year in terms of how the service was with shipping!! I even had something arrive on Dec 27th that was marked ''DELIVER BEFORE XMAS'' by the POST OFFICE themselves.

So unfortunately it may be lost....but I hope it''s not!!!! I am still hoping my packages will come even though its been three weeks.

Hey Angel,

I wouldn''t worry yet. As a Canadian (I''ve recieved lots of things for the US) I had a package once that was held up at customs for 1 MONTH! Usually things from big companies like Amazon, Sephora, come in really quickly but the personal packages take a REALLY long time.

Breath easy, it''s probably on it''s way!

The tracking number wouldn''t have helped you anyway....the USPS tracking sucks and there''s never any updated information. They only seem to post info after the package has been delivered. What the hell''s the point of that????

FG I know that is the biggest pet peeve of mine!!! Why pay for tracking only to have it say ''Dropped off at PO on XYZ date'' ...for 3-4 days! That''s not tracking! It''s confirmation!

Things can take a long time to get to Canada. I mailed a card from Seattle to Vancouver and it took a couple weeks!

I hope your package makes it there safely.
