Loriken, I sincerely hope they get that infection under control soon and you can live it up at your hubby''s celebration! My most positive healing thoughts are coming your way.

Thank you Michelle! I just replied to Liz''s post about Las Vegas. I''m determined to go so I put us at the very back of the plane. That way, I''ll be close to the potty and won''t have anyone behind me to bother.

It is really hot here and my poor AC is having a workout....gonna go lay down now.

I need some cheering up right now.....my lupus is flaring and I''m not feeling very well. I''m having side effects from the chemo and can''t get back on it until my body recovers. Anyway, I''m not one to complain too much, but I''m REALLY feeling down right now and could use some good news.

Lori

Sending positive healing thoughts your way...hope you are up and feeling better asap.

I''m sending get well wishes your way. I admire your fighting spirit.

*sending hugs and postive thoughts and prayers*

my dad was diagnosed with Lupus about four years ago. It came on so suddenly it seemed. We were having a normal day and then all of the sudden he got the butterfly rash. When we heard back from the doctors after tons of tests, we found out it was affecting his kidneys in a big way. It was really awful, the chemo worked though and it went into remission. The doctors have been steadily reducing the amount of medicine he needs, which is great. We kind of had to kick him in the butt though, he was not proactive about his health at all! now that he''s started taking care of himself he is doing much better.

My thoughts are with you and I hope you start feeling better soon!!! Hang in there girl!

(p.s. your ring on Heart of Water is gorgeous!!)

THANK YOU.....I needed some support and I truly appreciate your kind words!

Kas, thank goodness your Dad is doing much better. I feel for him, but know that he is over the tough part of being diagnosed and has received the care that he needs. Many prayers for his continued good health!

My liver is shot due to the meds I''ve taken over the past 7 years. We''re waiting to see if I can get back on the chemo.

I am so sorry that you are struggling with all of this. I''m sending some healing dust your way. Stay strong!

Lori,

Did you decide to go to Las Vegas instead of New Orleans or am I imagining New Orleans? Did you make it to Las Vegas before the lupus flared up? If not, will you be going when you feel better again? I also would like more information on the Hearts of Water ring you are going to receive. Is there somewhere I can see a picture of it? Everyone else seems to know what it looks like! I wish you a very swift recovery from your setback. Let us hope that a cure for lupus is around the corner!

Hugs,
AGBF

Deb, we were going to a casino in Louisiana, but I couldn''t travel. Then we scheduled a trip to Vegas at the end of this month and have moved it to the first part of October. I just can''t travel right now and hope that October will be better...at least the weather will be cooler in Vegas then.

Here is the rose gold pink tourmaline Lotus ring that Sally and her Team created for me. It is still listed as I haven''t paid for it yet.

Yes, let''s hope that a cure is in the near future! There is a new drug in the works, but it won''t be approved until sometime next year, I think. Anyway, thank you for your support, as always, Deb!

The ring is beautiful.

Just wanted to stop by and give you some love and my well wishes. I hope that you are able to go on holiday in October.

Thank you for updating me, Lori! I think that Las Vegas in October sounds much better than Las Vegas in August! I hope that you feel well and can really enjoy the fall weather. And as to your ring: it is just lovely! It is so feminine and flower-like, yet it is substantial! I love rose gold. I used to scour Genoa (my husband''s hometown in Italy) whenever we visited it looking for rose gold jewelry. (The only drawback was that in the days when we visited there a lot-during his parents'' lifetime-we were too poor to buy jewelry. He had to tell me, "no" when I asked for simple gold bracelets that cost a couple of hundred dollars.)

I am glad that you are keeping up with the lupus research! There is nothing better for morale than knowing that real progress is being made. You do your part and hang in there. Let the scientists do their part and find that cure! We are all with you, Lori!!!

Hugs,
Deb/AGBF
