I am 95% sure I want this bag to use as a weekender (both short and long weekends, so 2-4 days potentially) but I'm having trouble pulling the trigger because I'm worried it's too big, when expanded, to be an acceptable carry-on. Does anyone have this bag and use it as a carry-on? I've read a ton of reviews and some say it can; some say it's too large. I know there are some Longchamp fans here and I'm curious to see if anyone has this particular bag and flies/travels with it.

ETA: I have looked at it in the Georgetown store and loved it. I was in a hurry, though, and didn't ask this very important question!

I have this bag and love it for the versatility. Great piece.
re. the carry on problem I can't really say anything, since here (EU) now different companies use different standards and one has to check measurements beforehand. Some of my carry on trolleys don't work at certain companies anymore either (super.annoying, esp.since I found out at.the.gate.. ack)...

I do. When it's filled to the max it's too heavy for me so I only bring it when DH travels with me. When I travel solo for work I use a small roller and Lo and Sons OG bag or the le Pliage that's the large size and expandable that Nordstrom sells during the anniversary sale as my "purse" with the roller.

Thank you Kipari and Pinto! I am big strong lady so I *think* I won't mind lugging it through airports--I like the shoulder strap option for this very reason. I don't think I will fly with it all that much. It will probably be more of a road trip bag when I go to visit friends or travel locally for work. However I wanted to make sure I would have the option to fly with it. I know it's carry-on-friendly in its unexplained s state, so there's that.

Again, thanks for your input!
