Hi everyone,

When I was dress shopping I wore a long line bra to try dresses on, but the consultants said I didnt really need one (from the standpoint of flattening the stomach)...however after having a fitting without it, I really feel like the dress (corset back) flattens me out too much and I liked the look better with some support. I remembered when I got a dress for a wedding last year at Davids Bridal I tried it on with a really comfy long line bra, so I got one of theirs. (without boning in the front) However, when I wear it, there is a crease that sticks out going across the middle of my ribcage. I tried ironing it, but it hasnt helped much. I cant find anything wrong with it that is causing this, it looks perfectly normal when I''m not wearing it. I dont know yet if that will show under my dress (its at the seamstress getting the bussle). Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions?

Thanks!!
Shannon

Unfortunately I can''t offer any suggestions, but I want to chime in because I have what I believe is that same bra from Davids Bridal and it''s doing the same thing to me! Is yours the one with the 80-bajillion hook clasps on the back? I can''t tell if it''s a matter of it being too tight so it''s "collapsing" in itself or if there is a way to fix it so it doesn''t do that... Hopefully someone can help!

Its this one:

If you read the reviews there is one person who writes about what I think we are experiencing! I hope someone can help - I was wondering if washing it would help?

I hadn''t even thought about it! I guess I''ll have to check the care instructions. I think I''d croak if I throw that bra in the wash to have it come out in pieces! Let me know if you get around to trying it and how that works!

Have you tried getting a long line bra that does have boning down the front? I''ve found that the boning gives better support to my shape and it avoids the line across any part of my midsection.

Hi,
I don't know if this will even help but I have a bra/corset thing like the one bootsiekin posted that I'm wearing that goes into a "V" right near my belly button (I have a very short torso), and that "V" sort of sticks out. We tried ironing, washing, steaming....finally we solved it by putting one of those Spanx-type things OVER my waist.

It's like a short, tube-skirt version of the Spanx shorts. It actually smooths down the part that was sticking up.

It takes away from the cute look of the undergarments, unfortunately. But that piece sticking out was driving me crazy.
