Background: SO and I had our 5th anni on Sept 25. I got him an interlocking ring, two pieces that come together with a small diamond in it, which was to symbolize our unity and how we fit perfectly together, etc. He gave me a beautiful peridot ring with a diamond halo, since peri is my birthstone.

Okay,

I was talking to SO and he asked if I was still "on my love high" from our anniversary weekend. (How cute!) I said yes of course, then asked him the same. He said, "Of course, and I am reminded of it everytime I look at my ring." I thought that was really cute, and told him that I had spent all day staring at my ring, too. His response?

"yeah, well your ring doesn''t mean what my ring does!"

LMAO, I was dying. I think it''s completely adorable that he wanted his ring to be really special and symbolic, even at the expense of mine. Oh boys...

And I can''t even be mad, because I have a beautiful ring on my finger! I''m glad he loves his.

I for some reason am hanging onto the dream that I will give my man a lovely replacement wedding ring for his 40th birthday next year.

Unfortunately, he has told me flatly (as in "I'll chuck it over the back fence" - that flatly!!) that I am not to buy him any more jewellery. Not even a wedding ring!

He's a dag.

Thats such a cute story. I plan on getting a ring for FF after he proposes. I think that he''ll wear it. Who knows.

I LOVE your ring by the way. Its totally GORGEOUS! What a stunning color that stone is.

A friend of mine just got something similar but in yellow gold when her FI proposed. He is currently working on the diamond one.

This is the ring I got SO. I played on the symbolism of it being 2 rings that fit perfectly together, and a lot of other mushy stuff!

On side is brushed/matte finish, the other side is the high shine metal finish, so they look distinct. The diamond is a tiny thing though, not really a selling point, fwiw.

And despite what he says, I LOVE my ring too, whatever it means! haha

Thanks Kittybean! I looked for his ring for a long time, I didn't want to get something that looked like a wedding ring, but I did want to give him something that he could keep, since I felt that 5 years was such a fantastic milestone

He has been wearing it on his right ring finger mostly, but he confessed the other day that he had been wearing it on his left ring finger all day, and was a little embarrassed when he realized it. I am really amazed at how much he loves his ring, but I find it so endearing!

The bad thing about the peri ring is now I am already planning on another colored stone ring... A big EC sapphire with a halo! Ooooohhh..... I would also settle for a peridot in YG! Mmm.....

where did you get his ring. i really like that alot. i am thinking of buying it for DH. this will be his 3rd wedding band. that just leaves room for me to upgrade in the future if you ask me.

I also would love to know where it''s from, no doubt the company has a variety of interesting men''s rings?
I have found Pearlman''s to have some interesting man''s rings... the only thing for me is that for some reason the site takes ages to load.
