You know what I mean. You leave them alone to finish something, install something, whatever and then you get home. And you wonder what you were ever thinking leaving it up to them.
Case in point.
We moved about five weeks ago. We had nearly everything settled but the TV wasn't mounted in the living room. We had to buy a new mount and then when it came, we were so crazy busy it sat for two weeks. Last Sunday, DH said he was going to mount it. He makes a list and takes off for Home Depot to get some hardware. I go to the grocery store. I don't even think to discuss WHERE it should be mounted before I leave. I mean, we hung the one in our bedroom a few weeks ago and I thought he knew about how high I would want it. Stupid, stupid, stupid. LESSON ALERT: Don't EVER think you and your SO are magically on the same page unless you discuss it and KNOW you are on the same page.
I walked into the house after grocery shopping and I am now living in a frigging sports bar. That TV is mounted SO high, you literally can't watch it from the soft without slouching all the way down AND laying your head back. I do not know what the man was thinking. I asked him if he thought it was a "'bit" high. His response? "I knew you would say that!". UMMMM.... well, then why did you mount it so frigging high?!? I admit, I used a little passive agressiveness "no, it's fine. I'll just deal with it". This translates into "move that dumb thing NOW". He was so irritated that I hated it. His reasoning was that if he mounted it lower you "couldn't see my stenciled wall". Um, it's to the right and left too. He finally said he would move it "another day". I'm holding him to this.
I've attached a picture so you can see my Sports Bar. I need some neon beer signs and it will be complete. I can't walk thru that room without getting irritated.
