LOL...your the best Lauren! Well, my bf rarely posts...so he is an OG lurker since 01. He is alexj187. When he rarely posts, he posts in the car forum. But, I got into lurking and started to search and then I found you there and got into diamonds and such.
11.gif
I tell him that when he is ready (hope soon)
27.gif
I tell him to message you!
Awwww, I appreciate you sending him to me when you''re ready! I ADORE helping the guys with these things, mostly because I can get the female perspective into their heads.

I''ve helped loads of OTers, and apparently by proxy I''ve helped a few more. I just really love hearing about things from the guy''s perspective - really makes me feel good to help them save money and still get an amazing ring for their beloved!

The cars... the travel... the jewelry... the hobbies... Can I life swap with you for a week? LOL! Just kidding, I like my life, but yours sounds like a whole lot of fun too!

I love the shadows on the beach pictures! What a fun idea! We buy a small silver charm/pendant everywhere we go and use them as ornaments for the Christmas tree.
9.gif
Dani, that''s a great idea! W and I LOVE Christmas ornaments, and I just never think of getting a trinket when we travel.

We did get that awesome hand-painted tile in Positano, though!

Thanks girl! Your posts got me all into diamonds! We have learned so much lately and he already knows my taste

. I don''t want him to spend so much money because I will probably upgrade in the future, so I don''t want to go too overboard. I prefer quality over size and prefer a diamond that is super sparkly and that is small. Oh, HAPPY (be-lated)BIRTHDAY!
emotion-19.gif
by the way, and I hope that you had a nice and sweet b-day!

Thank you - it's a fun car, and I really do enjoy it so much. I'm thinking of getting rid of it to get something hatch/station-wagon-ey (either an A4 Avant or a new Subaru STI hatch), but I just can't part with it. I feel like I might lose my youth or something. I've been driving convertibles only since 1997.
8.gif

And, I know! I was just reading your thread, and I figured out you and I are super close in age (though, you would never know it by lookin' at ya!) I always thought I was quite a few years older than you!
2.gif

I sent one of my sales reps to ALB last week, and I was sooooo sad I couldn't tag along, too! Maybe next time we're out there I can convince them to take me on the road.

Oh, man! That would be so cool if you could come out here for the GTG! Skippy, if you don''t have anyone to come with, you''re so more than welcome to stay with me! We have a lovely extra bedroom/bathroom that rarely, if ever, gets used!
2.gif

Barring that, I would love to come out there sometime, and I bet Kathryn would too!

I''m hanging onto the TT for now - I''ll let you guys know if I decide to get rid of her soon. It''s going to kill me to get rid of her!

Hmmmm, music is tough, because I seriously love 80s and 90s - Erasure, Depeche Mode, Journey, The Police, Phil Collins/Genesis, Van Halen, Prince, Sublime, Toad the Wet Sprocket, The Cure, STP, Pearl Jam, Toto. I absolutely LOVE Ben Folds and The Darkness. But then, I discovered ska in the mid-90s, and that''s another one of my loves, Save Ferris, Reel Big Fish, Spring Heeled Jack USA, Less Than Jake, The Aquabats, The Gadjits, The Hippos, Red Elvises, The Toasters, Mephiskapheles, No Doubt, The Pietasters, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Monique Powell, Mad Caddies, Limp, Goldfinger, Dance Hall Crashers, Buck–O-Nine, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, etc. I also love musicians with instrumental talent, like Norah Jones, Sarah Brightman, Alicia Keyes, Sarah McLaughlan.

That''s close to the style of music I listen to, but I pretty much will listen to anything, aside from country, and I can''t stand much rap. Unless it''s like Will Smith or something.

I will figure out a way to get out there in the next year! You are just the sweetest!!!! xoxo

You brought back some memories with the music! I listen to 80''s music about 10-20% of the time. I love it! I loved Erasure, Depeche Mode all the ones you listed.
3.gif
I don''t listen to country either and same here, not much rap.

Did you play any sports in high school? What are your favorite movies? What about 80''s movies and 80''s tv? This is fun asking you this stuff!

LAUREN!!! I just got around to reading this thread and I had no idea that you are a Sheltie lover... I wish I had know pre-GTG!

I''ve been the proud owner of a Sheltie since 1983. Not the same one, of course, but they''re the most wonderful dogs.

My current Sheltie is Gypsy, whom I adopted from D/FW Sheltie Rescue. She''s... about 11, I think and fairly petite... about 20 lbs.

She was my first tri-color Sheltie after 20+ years of sable-and-whites... her coloration took a bit of getting used to! She didn''t look "right" - but of course she does now.
28.gif

Lo and behold, when I met (well, RE-met) my now-husband, he mentioned that he had two dogs. And I was shocked to discover that they''re both mixed breeds, of the herding dog persuasion. Buddy is a Aussie-Lab blend (we think) and Lucky is a Border Collie-German Shepherd mix (and a daughter of Skidboot!) AND... they''re both tri-color! So we have a full array of herding dogs, in sizes small, medium, and large.

Gypsy - old apt 2005.jpg

From left: Lucky (about 45 lbs.); Buddy (about 90 lbs.); and Gypsy (about 20 lbs).

Okay, /threadjack !

I'm just excited whenever I know a fellow Sheltie lover.

Ohhhhh, Anne, I CRACKED UP when I saw the pic of all 3 tri-colors, and Gypsy is a cutie pie! You and DH were just meant to be!

I only had one dog as a child, and Samantha was the runt of the litter - daughter of Windswept Joy To The World and something or other equally as silly. I loved that dog, and my heart broke the day I found out she passed away.

I''m trying to convince Weston that we need a dog, and a Sheltie (a small one) is in the running. I doubt that will happen before kids, though - so I''m content to ogle other people''s lovely Shelties!

I haven''t checked my WW in forever!

I didn''t play any sports in high school aside from Powder Puff football in the fall. I was more of a piano-lessons-taking kind of kid - was in the National Honour Society and President of Key Club.

My favourite movies . . . The Princess Bride, Sleeping Beauty, Fight Club, Ferris Bueller, Snatch, Karate Kid I and III, What Dreams May Come, Hook, 10 hings I Hate About You (so embarrassing), Pirates of the Caribbean . . . I''m pretty all over the place with movies.

I was a HUGE fan of Saved By The Bell!!!! OMG, I wanted to BE Kelly Kapowski.

So, you guys know how like 2 weeks ago I would never sell my TT? Well, it needed a service, an EXPENSIVE one, so I decided it was time to broaden my horizons.

So, for those of you who have ridden in her, let me reintroduce, Super White Tuna aka Dassy!

Her rump . . .

It''s a numbered edition, but apparently they just slapped the number plate onto the steering wheel at the US customs port, and none of the VINs translate to any of these numbers.

And a very cool grill shot. . .

I enjoyed reading about your life and seeing your amazing pictures. Your rings are gorgeous, your cars are gorgeous and so are you! I wish I lived in Houston to go to the GTG.
