Last minute CLT NC GTG

Miss Zoe is in town so just wanted to know if anyone is interested in doing a GTG sometime this week (she leaves Sat. AM)!?!

Maybe Friday night would work best since you work P. What do you think?

That works for me. We could do Thursday night if you wanted, to avoid Friday night crowds. I''m game for anything (well, okay, other than anytime before 7 tomorrow...I''ve got to get to my kickball game, lol).

Thanks for starting this thread, Tacori! Either Thursday or Friday night would work for us. We can''t make it a late night but we could meet for drinks, dinner, or whatever. We drove around the Lake Norman area today and now we''re back at the hotel for a while. My husband has two appointments tomorrow, but other than that, we''re going to be checking out the Matthews and Ballentyne (sp?) areas.

I can''t check PS while we''re on the road so I''ll have to check in while we''re at the hotel.

As I mentioned to you in the other thread, we''re staying at a hotel in Uptown, but we have a car, so we can meet wherever. As long as we have an address, we''re good.

I''ll check in later. I can''t wait to meet you and Princesss!

Well, we''re not house hunting but we''re looking around to see where we may want to relocate to if my husband gets a job in the Charlotte area. He''s meeting with three different recruiters this week (two tomorrow and one on Thursday), and he may have an appointment with a company that one of the recruiters thinks he''s a good fit for. That meeting isn''t set in stone yet though. Since I''m on vacation this week, I thought I''d tag along. If we did move down here, we''d rent first before buying. We still have to sell our condo at home first.

I''m looking forward to meeting you girls! I hope you don''t mind if I bring my husband.

Okay, so you''re scoping things out. Good call. I think my introduction to Charlotte was a whole 4 hours. I had an interview, got the job, got an apartment, and left that night. It was a little busy, to say the least. It''s definitely a good place to be, with a lot going on. Plus, we have some awesome PSers down here, if I do say so myself.

Wow, 4 hours?? Talk about making a few quick decisions! I WISH my husband had iterviews lines up with actual companies besides recruiters, but I guess we''ll take what we can get. From what I gather, Charlotte is pretty big and spread out, with several neighborhoods that have their own names. It''s pretty different from our small towns in the area of New England where we grew up and still live live.

So good news! We just got back from meeting one recruiter (well, my husband did -- I sat outside and read) and 10 minutes after we left, the recruiter called. He''s trying to set up an interview with a company for tomorrow at noon. There are three people in the running, and they seemed pretty impressed that my husband made the trip down here from New England. My husband is meeting another recruiter right now, and he''s going to meet a third (a friend of Rod''s!) tomorrow morning. I wish we had more time here ,but we''re having fun so far.

Megs -- are you going to make the trip?

I''d love to meet you, Dianne, if you can make it!

Tacori -- are you bringing T.? I''d love to meet her, of course, but I totally understand if you''d rather not have her come.

You are so-o-o-o-o not a slack PSer.....you didn''t bring your loose gemstones? I can''t wait to see some of those beautiful gemstones set into gorgeous settings. I actually think you are smart to go ahead and get amazing gems, ones you really love, and wait for the settings. That way half the work is done!!! I love seeing loose stones, anyway!!! I hope to be at the next GTG!!
