I saw your thread about the ring and the carrot and it made me search for this story. Unfortunately it was so long ago that I'm having a hard time finding the original article, but I did find this re-cap. I lived in Miami at the time that this story came to be, and he appeared on the local news as well as the Today Show. It was so far-fetched that they gave him a lie-detector test, which he passed!
