Hi guys!!!!

How flattering! I''ve never even visited this forum before, so I knew nothing of it. Thanks to Skippy for bringing it to my attention.

So I haven''t seen any of these threads before...What is it you want to know?

The basics... I''ll be 28 on July 14th, I teach dance for a living and occasionally go back to school, for what I don''t know.

I supported my fiancee (who I''ve been with for over nine years and will marry on our tenth anniversary) through school and now he''s an engineer at a nuclear plant. We bought a house in Florida, near the Tampa area where we''ve always lived, and moved in last December. I found Pricescope right after I got my engagement ring, because I found that learning about diamonds was FUN!

When I can think of more, I''ll let you know. For now, I''m going to check out who some of you are.

Maybe not until tomorrow though, since I need to be leaving for work very soon!

Hi Kelli! How long have you been teaching dance? what type of dance? Sounds like a fun job!!! How did you get interested in teaching? Congrats to you and your FI and yay for Tampa. I heard it is beautiful!

Thanks Skippy:) I've been teaching for about ten years. I've been dancing my whole life, and when I was fifteen, my older sister opened her own studio. I had great grades in high school and could've gone to college anywhere in the state for free, but work kept getting in the way of my schedule so I chose teaching instead. I've never been able to think of ANYTHING I'd rather do. I guess I'm pretty lucky to be able to do what I love for work. The pay isn't amazing, but it was enough to support my fiancee through college for years and now I can relax a little because he's finally got a great job. I can't relax too much though, we're not used to making all these house payments. They are much larger than our previous rent!

I am very much a family girl and would love to someday talk more about that. Right now isn't a good time though. I haven't said much on here because I truly do not want a seperate thread about it, but we just lost my dad three weeks ago to a heart attack. He was only 53, and it was totally unexpected. He was quite possibly my VERY favorite person in this world, and as much as I already miss him, what's really killing me is seeing my mom hurting.

Pricescope has been a WONDERFUL place to come and be distracted from everything, so I really would rather not have a whole thread about it. But it seems impossible to say anything about myself in here without disclosing that, kind of like nothing else matters right now.

In general (and the last three weeks aside), I tend to be a pretty happy person. I have a bit of an addictive personality, so I latch on to something and want to learn EVERYTHING about it for a while until something else comes along. Of course I love to SHOP for it too. It's tough not to spend too much money, but feeling guilty keeps me in check. Right now it's PEARLS!! I WANT SOME!!! And I've been VERY good so far, in the fact that I've only bought them as presents for other people. When I break down and lose my will-power, I will have some for myself.

Or some diamond studs...

Anyhow... I suppose that's enough for today. Sorry for my self-pity.

Up until now I've been lucky enough to never feel true pain like this, and I'm not sure how to deal with it all. But lets focus on ther things...

Kelli, my deepest condolences.

You are such a bright light Kelli.

Hi Kelli-
Glad you found your thread. I noticed it had started in January!
I look forward to hearing more about you. I''d love to hear about your upcoming wedding plans. I''m currently supporting my husband as he goes through school and it''s not easy. Kudos to you for getting him through school and it''s great that he has a good job and you can relax a teeny bit.
My deepest sympathies for the loss of your dad.
We are always here to listen.

hi kelli :)

i''m so sorry for the loss of your dad. i lost my dad when i was 27 too, and he was 52, so i know what a shock that is and how impossible to prepare for. i''m so sorry for your loss, and also for your mom''s.

it sounds like you''re a very reliable and dependable person; great job on buying your house! some people go right through their lives without the discipline to achieve that. and i''m so glad for you that you have a job you enjoy; it must be wonderful to do something you enjoy every day. :)

so - what date is your 10th anniversary with your fiance? are you planning to get married exactly on that date? and what wedding plans do you have? are you getting married in florida? do fill us in! :)

and it''s no secret that i''m a dog lover; how about you? do you have any pets? pls tell us all about them, if you do!

i hope you have a great day today, kelli - thank you for sharing a little of your life with us,
