Jewelry fashion mistakes?

This is a fun thread
My only historic regret is not wearing more jewlwey especially in the 80s

I used to love buying all kinds of costume jewelry. As a performing-artist since a very young age (4-ish I believe), I was required to keep a collection of costume jewelry along with a theatrical makeup kit. But I am allergic to all metals other than Gold, Platinum and Stainless steel! So I could only wear the pieces for a couple of hours at a time before things started to get ugly! Yet I kept buying them! Do I regret it? No :D

I used to wear plastic earrings that matched my sweat shirts back in the 80s'...we all thought we looked so cool...8-)

...because we did look cool

When I was in high school I wore rings on every finger, including thumbs. They were all cheap stuff (some "better quality" in sterling silver! lol)

I wish i had done that
For training
I can't hold a pen with a ring on

Long ago, in the 80s, a friend of mine was a dancer.
She went to some kind of tryout for a music video.
At the time, 'shoulder duster' earrings were popular.
During a spinning sequence, the earring swung and scratched her eyeball! Luckily, she was OK.

They were something like this:
