With so many of us living all over the country, I thought I''d post the link to the James Beard Foundation winners released last night.

A16 in San Francisco won a Rising Star Chef nod, and Ellie Kreiger won an award for her cookbook!

i have a friend who is currently reading the michael pollan book, and i am heading off to jean georges in the next couple of weeks, and to blue hills at stone barns for my birthday next month.

sometimes it''s just wonderful living in NY!

Oh, I''m so jealous, Whitby! I''m working my way through a Keller book right now, but I would give my right arm to be able to just go to Jean Georges on a random weekend!
 
Yah!!! I loved Dan Barber''s restaurant.. but I went to Stone Barns in upstate NY. Have fun! His food is simple yet delicious.
 
A16 is just up the pennisula....and a quick check of the website says i''ll be eating there very soon.....thanks for the post!
