I found out that they are not offering the class I need again til the Fall, so graduation will be a whole year away rather than in May. I still haven''t heard from my interviewers (I am hoping that this is due to the pending holiday) and I noticed lost a stone from my wedding band this morning. Additionally my cube mate is having contractions and she has gone for a check up (she is only 4.5 months) so I am worried about that as well.

My bff called me late Saturday night and she is going thru a rough time and I feel so helpless (step daughter issues).

Just a bit sad at the minute.

How are you Linda Mom?
 
Oh honey I am so sorry. First of all, can they replace the diamond that fell out of your band??? They should be able to replace it!!!

I do hope your cube made will be OK, that is a horrible experience to go through. I will say extra prayers for her.

I am also sorry about your class, that is really frustrating

Thanks! I am hoping that I can spend a little more time on here now that school is a little less hectic.
 
Thought an update might be due...

9 months in and I am still very much enjoying married life. I have a touch of the baby fever if I am honest. Problem is, how does one really know that they are ready to start a "family"?? Perhaps I should start a thread unless one of you all can point me to one that is already out on the forum. Some days I am completely compelled and other totally turned off to the idea...I suppose that is a good indicator that it is not quite the right time.

The new job is going very well and there is so much to learn. I am out of University for the summer which has been a nice break for me for a few months. Not too much longer and I am through! Wooooo! DH is still working for himself and it has been lovely having him at home. However looks as if he will be hitting the road again any day now which will require a little juggling so that my doggies are locked up all day.

We so enjoyed our trip home in January. I think DH was a little overwhelmed as thing are so very different. The concept of walking anywhere in Texas is a dim one, but there we were walking to the pub, to the grocery store, to the marina and all around Hampshire it seemed. We are both anxious to get back to Europe in the next 12 months and see some more places- 5 days was not enough time to do much at all. I looked at tickets to Paris this morning....OUCH!


We have just spent a lot of time and effort laying turf in the front garden and it looks very nice. Unfortunately we are under a drought restriction at the moment and so it is not getting much water at the moment so I do not know whether or not it will survive. It was 105 degrees all last week a little rain this morning, but just enough to boost the humidity. Urgh!


The dogs and the horse are doing well- smart enough to get in the shade (dogs are spoilt and stay in the house mostly). Our Martin Birds have hatched and flown away- but I suspect we may have one more batch this year. I don''t mind as they tend to keep the bugs at bay- but they leave a poopy mess in their wake.

Not much on the Jewelry front- Still working on the graduation ring and looking for my perfect reset.

Anyway, that''s whats going on here.... ready for Fall

I am not sure I really have any advice to offer, but I am sure you''ll figure it out. I am thinking though if there are days where you''re turned off to the idea still it might not be a good idea; however, at the same time I think it''s very rare that people want to start a family 24hours a day 7 days a week you know? Very special people feel that way (and I mean special in a good way as in very selfless, giving, etc.). Not saying you''re not that way..but I know I''m not! Lol. I want a family one day, but I''ll never be 100% happy about giving up my sleeping habits, spending habits, etc. I''ll just be ready when the time is right (financially, etc.) and those things (e.g. having an iPhone) are less important to me than having and raising kids. Does that make sense?

how's your horse these days?

Mine figured out how to shake pears out of our pear tree the other day. He has emptied all of the lower branches. I'm kindof peeved b/c I was HOPING I'd get to make pear preserves.

He's also figured out how to "help" me clean stalls. If he's at the stall window, and I'm cleaning and the handle is close enough he'll grab onto it and shake the rake around for me. :rolleyes:
 
He's doing well thanks. Getting ready to go to a trainer for 30-60 days to knock the rust off! :-)

Yours sounds like a little tinker! :wink2: Any good horsey threads going on these days?
 
I had one dedicated purely to horses, and it was going for a good while. We should revive it!!!


He is a total stinker. Way way smart.
