I''m engaged! P proposed on the beach yesterday. We flew into SC Thursday and I got to meet FI''s parents. We spent the whole day on Friday just hanging around his hometown and with his parents. Saturday morning we got up really early and drove down to his favorite place, Kiawah Island. When we got here he told me we had to walk on the beach first before checking in at The Sanctuary. So we walked out onto the beach and he hugged me and asked me if I knew how much he loved me and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I said I knew and he told me to say what I always say, which is, "you have to ask me first." I said, but you already know, P was insistent so I finally said that he had to ask me. Right then he got on one knee in the sand and pulled out a beautiful ring. All I could manage to squeak out was, "you''re asking me?!" He laughed and said, "yes, will you marry me?" I said yes so fast he asked me if I had said yes later. Haha.

The ring is a 1.66ct round set in a platinum Tiffany setting. Will update with pics and specs later!
