OK, I read the comments. It's a woman-hating video. There is nothing wrong with wanting some comfort and/or to vent to your partner. Most people are in the process of fixing the problem or are going to do so; they just want to mention their frustration. Men and women vary. No need to shame the ways of one.
Imagine this conversation:
"God, look at this weather! I wish this rain would stop already!"
"You could go out if you wore a raincoat and took an umbrella."
"Ye-es, I know I could. Almost unbelievably, I know that raincoats and umbrellas exist. I just wanted to make a remark about the weather!"
It is an interesting concept - being listened to without being offered problem solving. I think most people - women and men - are far more keyed into solving than listening.
I wonder whether it was produced for training therapists, since they must be exceptional listeners.
With 21.5 million views clearly it leaked out of that community.
I think nearly everyone would.
That's exactly why this video would be so effective for training people who must learn to suppress and stop their natural internal bulldozer and listen, really listen.
