I need to buy a new oven (my oven died and is not fixable

I have my eye on a jennair oven. I just really like the features and I think it looks nice (OK, not the best way to choose an oven). The guy who tried to repair my old oven told me that jenn air is really a good oven. He does not sell ovens, just repairs them.

What do you all think?

If you walked into a home that you were looking to buy and they had a new jenn air stainless steel oven would you be happy about it or think the owners picked a dud?

I''m not planning on selling now but think in the next 5 years or so I may need to sell my house so I''m thinking not just whats good for me to use now but resale value.

I. Hate. Jenn-air.

Put in in my last house and the oven ran hot and burners went out quickly. The name still carries old clout, but really, it''s maker Maytag has gone way down hill. Whirlpool, we have been told, is the most reliable right now. Go figure.

Others may have other experiences. That''s just ours. (sorry)

...I''m actually seriously consideraing a Kitchen Aid.

Actually, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag, and Jenn-Air are all owned by the same company now. Personally, I''d pick KitchenAid over Jenn-Air because KA has more features. But I don''t think Jenn-Air is a bad oven.

I really like my jenn-air oven...

You could do worse. I think Jenn Air is perfectly acceptable. How much do you cook?
