there''s a lovely necklace that i saw at a jewelry store, but it''s extremely expensive. saw it on ebay for a fraction of the price, but the seller is telling me she wore it once for her wedding and now is selling it due to divorce.
If you are superstitious, then pass. There are people who totally feel that way and it is not worth bothering with it if it will upset or worry you. Only you know your comfort level!
I''m not superstitious at all, so I say go for it!! I think jewelry that''s not in a good home should be in one that is. Why get rid of a nice necklace just because it comes from a "broken home." Would you say no to a cat or dog that wasn''t loved in someone else''s home?
I''m not superstitious, so I say go for it! A bargain is a bargain
A lot of brides wear antique jewellery on their wedding day so I don''t think it''s a big issue. But if it concerns you or will make you worry, then it''s probably not worth the savings.
By the way, do you have a pic of this necklace you can share?
Depends on how superstitious YOU are. Personally, if the price is as good as it sounds, I wouldn''t let it hold me back. I mean, really, would it be a piece of jewelry''s doing in any real way that a marriage didn''t make it? But if it''ll really bother you, then definitely don''t do it....takes away your happiness to have the thing in the first place!
Nah, I don''t think so. But I''m not particularly superstitious.
If it were someone I knew or had some connection to someone I knew, I''d probably feel differently. I totally understand why one would not want to wear jewelry that fiance had given to his ex-girlfriend, etc.
But someone I''ve never met and will never meet? I''d take the deal!
I personally would go for it, because I think the potential failure of my relationship would have more to do with me and my hubby than with a necklace I bought from somebody who was divorced. But I tend to not be superstitious...and love a great bargain!!!
