I don''t even like singing shows, but this one seems fun and different. Maybe just good advertising, but I''m excited to tune in!

I was until I saw the judges. I think if the judges were "icons" in the industry, I would be able to take it more seriously. I don''t think Nicole (from Pussycat Dolls) is really in the position to be judging anyone''s singing lol

May watch tonight to see how good it will be. If it is on CBS that''s ok, since I don''t want to miss Big Bang Theory (I love this show!)

As an a cappella addict and performance junkie, I am so beyond excited for this show...

Even I think I''m kinda sad.

... My roommate and I can''t wait!

SO excited!

I am! I didn''t realize this was a competition with judges though. I thought it was a one time special thing. Ah well, I''ll still watch it.

In my house, Ben Folds is an icon.

AND, don''t forget Shawn Stockman! Boyz II Men, anyone?

I think Ben Folds gives amazing feedback. We''re about halfway through watching the show, I love it. (I can''t listen to a capella in real life because it literally makes me feel ill, but I''m okay with recordings or on television. I love it, so I''m super excited. And no, I don''t know why I have a physical reaction to it, but I''ve always been that way.)

I was also disappointed in the judges chosen. I was hoping to see at least ONE accomplished member of the a cappella community represented... I know who I'd choose, but of course, none of them would be recognizable outside of the a cappella bubble

We have a bunch of friends competing, so of course we have to watch.

It is, it''s a short 4-episode series from what I understand. I''m sure they have hopes for extended future seasons, but I don''t see it taking off.

They should just televise the ICCAs.

I watched it. It was fun, but I liked the Choir Competition from last year a lot better. The group from Puerto Rico should win easily. And I liked the girl group from Utah and the barber shop ladies. I thought the rest . . . need way more practice. Surely not the "best in the country".

I watched it last night and I love it. I have it set up to record now so that I can watch when I get home and skip the commercials.

I must be so spoiled by Glee. Surely these can''t be the best groups in the country. I wasn''t thrilled by any of them and I was all set to really get into it.

Well yes, you are spoiled by Glee

because it isn't a cappella. They use instruments 99% of the time, and all the voices are recorded and processed... this is live a cappella.

But no, they are not the best groups in the country. They are the ones that got tapped for one reason or another, some had connections w/ casting and some just have really on-top-of-it publicity officers.

I was excited for the show, but honestly I had to turn it...I thought the performances (at least the 3 I managed to get through) were terrible.

I was also somewhat disappointed, but will probably watch it just because there''s not much else on I watch!

I think my college men''s a capella group "Straight No Chaser" is MUCH better! They had a special on PBS running and it was great to see them again! I know a few of the guys, so maybe that makes them seem better than they are, ha! Check them out if you want to see a really great group!

I didn't love it either

I was glad to see my alma mater represent though!

The chick from the Pussy Cat Dolls is the WORST judge ever. What a waste of space on that panel!

a cappella. I did not like the show. Changed the channel after the first half. Although I guess you could say it was a cappella, it really wasn't. It was more like voices attempting to sound like instruments to back up the singer. I love Ben Folds, but aside from him and remembering how hot Nick Lachey is in a suit...or out of one I imagine...it was a bust.

WOW

I don''t know if it''s good music or not, but that coed group just now - WOW

.

Voices can do that??
