So I got my invites today and I was really happy....til i opened them.
My first dissapointment came when I tried to put the RSVP card inside the invite and close it up. The RSVP is too big to be inside the folded invite. When i try to close and tie the invite around the RSVP, it makes the invite balloon out. though there is a small amount of room in the margins of the RSVP card, there is allso a ribbon that goes around the top of it, so I cannot cut the invite down to get it to fit.
Ok, this is no real bother, just an aesthetic one. I will just put the RSVP behind the invitation. Ok problem solved.
My main issue is that the RSVP card's invitation (pre printed with FI and I addresss). Is the same size as the envelope for the invites.
THis means that we cannot fit the RSVP card's invitation inside the invitation envelope!
Now normallly this isnt a big deal, we could just do what many couples do and get a larger "outer envelope" and put everything inside that one. It may be that that is what the invitation maker expected
However, we paid to have our guests names and addresses pre printed on the invitation envelopes (FI and I both have horrible penmanship). Why would we have asked for that, if we were not planning to use those as outer envelopes?
Anyway, I am hoping it is just some mix up. Really I am hoping to get smaller RSVPs and RSVP envelopes. Chances are though i will just get larger outer envelopes. Hopefully that wont mess with postage too much.
