My name is Paul I'm a long time lurker but I haven't posted before. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm a Jeweller from Melbourne, Australia. I've been in the industry for over a decade and am a qualified jeweller. As my passions are diamonds and jewellery design its great to have a forum to discuss these things with many knowledgeable and experienced people worldwide. I'm very interested in the newest processes for jewellery design and do a lot of CAD designing myself.
My favorite designers historically would be Van Cleef & Arpels in the art nouveau and deco periods. I'm very interested in Bauhaus design and try to bring these concepts (Kandinsky etc) as much as possibly into a modern setting (pun intended).
I think its great that there's a real online community for Jewellers here at pricescope. I hope to participate in these forums in the future. Many of my clients actually read this forum too which is a testiment to its quality and success.
