This itty bitty spitfire is Sophie. She is a Yorkie. Almost 11 weeks old and weighing in at a whopping 1.7 lbs. She is already bringing lots of joy into our lives.

Thanks for all the love. She really is so stinking cute and she has us all wrapped around her little paw already. Well, with one exception. Our 7-year old yorkie, Lola, is not thrilled with the new addition. Lola is used to being an only princess at our house and is displeased to have to share her princess status. At her previous home, Sophie had many puppy friends who were happy to play with her. She keeps trying to pounce on Lola to get her to play. Lola is simply not having it. Hopefully, they are able to coexist happily soon.

Congratulations on your new addition. Sophie is very cute. Please post more pictures. I hope it gets better with Lola soon. We got our new puppy in mid June and the oldest one (almost 5) still doesn't like her . She's no longer attacking her which is a big improvement. She more or less just ignores her now. Our middle child (as we call her) loves her little sister and they play constantly.

By the way, I love the name Lola. It sounds like she has attitude so her name is perfect. The song "Whatever Lola Wants" popped into my head .

I'd love to see photos of Lola and more photos of Sophie.

I was shocked to read Sophie weighs in at less than 2 lbs! I grew up with a large dog and later got my own large dog. Even my cat outweighed Sophie; he was 12 lbs of muscle!
