Wedding Inexpensive and Unique Bridesmaid Dresses

Hi everyone,

I am hoping that you could help me brainstorm some ideas. My wedding isn''t until september ''09, but I would like to take advantage of the end-of-summer sales that are going on right now. I want my bridesmaids to feel beautiful and not look too "bridesmaidy". No poofs or taffeta or satin. I want to find an awesome dress that they might think about wearing again! I''ve looked at the usual suspects, like j. crew, banana, anthropologie, but nothing is quite right. I actually ordered the j. crew metallic daisy dress, which looked stunning in the photos, but when I got them, they were NEON pink instead of "hibiscus". Yikes!

Has anyone found any site that sells great dresses for good prices? It''s harder than i thought!

What color are you looking for? Pink? Honestly... I don't know many people that wear pink dresses again and again... but Ann Taylor has some great dresses that when they are on sale, are a great deal. Or if you want something more trendy... BCBG. Nicole Miller has nice dresses too.

What do you consider "inexpensive" though?

Thanks- both are good ideas! No, I really don''t care for pink. I just want something somewhat unique, with a mellow color. If I can''t find "it", I am definitely letting my bm''s pick their own black cocktail gowns. That option wouldn''t look the best with my dress (which is champagne colored), but it''ll have to do!

The problem I''m running into is the dresses all look like they''re made for little girls (my bm''s are all over 30) or they are way too short. I don''t necessarily want a "mature" look, because my girls are all drop dead gorgeous, but I don''t want them to feel like they are teeny boppers. for some reason, there just isn''t much out there this year!

Tadashi is a brand that has very flattering dresses. Some of the are more mature, but many of them sound right for the look you are going for. Problem is they are pricey. Nice quality though.

Here's a very lovely pink one just happened to be pink, (I liked the style), but it is probably higher than you'd like.

This is a great question, Im not sure what your price range is but thought i''d share my find............we just ordered my bridesmaids dresses last week -
I picked them as I wanted my girls to be comfortable, love the dress, not be too hot (july wedding)
and wear the dresses again down the road. Im happy to report the girls loved the dresses YAY! (i did give them the option to pick others if they wanted)
