It never ceases to amaze me how certain people can profit (not financially) from someone else''s pain. What kind of person does that? She has lied to so many people who have gone thro so much heartache, its absurd. She may have provided some comfort with her stories but its so disrespectful and I''m just gobsmacked that she''s so far gotten away with it. She sounds mentally unbalanced.

Lost 2 friends that dreaded day as the towers fell on them. They were making their way down...

What can I say?? I'm angry.
Have no words for her.

I''m from nyc, lower manhattan -Battery Park City actually. When the planes hit, my husband (then fiance) were driving cross country on vacation and got a wake up call in Los Angeles- at 6 am from one of his coworkers, saying a plane hit and people were jumping out the window. My husband worked accross the street. We put the news on just in to time to see the second plane hit.
Tried frantically to call NY and couldn''t get through to my family for hours. My mom finally got through and said she was trying to get in touch with other family members/friends who worked either in the towers or nearby and wasn''t having any luck.
We got back in the car and made it back to NY in less than 4 days (couldn''t catch a flight out) only to discover that where we weren''t allowed back in our apartment. There was damage done to the building directly in front of us. We live in a complex of 6 buildings) and were given 20 minutes to get our stuff and get out. When we left for the trip, I kept the windows slightly open to let the place air out. My apartment was black from the smoke and ash.
We were homeless.
My husbands company moved to their emergency site in new jersey and put them up in a hotel for a month. I stayed with my parents mourning.
I lost people I loved, I lost my home, and almost lost my mind.
If this woman is lying- and i''m trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, there should be some kind of charge brought against her. I just don''t get it

How bizarre... not to mention disrespectful to the thousands who were genuinely grieving for loved ones.
