I''m so annoyed with my breeder - the kittens aren''t coming tonight :(

They were supposed to be here TONIGHT, but now they''re not...because she waited too late for them to get their final vaccinations and health cert, and they aren''t feeling 100% on the day of the flight (today). That''s ok...I don''t want to boys to be flying from FL to here not feeling well..but she has been the worst at communication this entire time. Even BF, who is very easygoing, is annoyed - it takes multiple tries at phone calls and e-mails to get a hold of her (on important things...like, the contract, or final payment, or arranging the kittens'' flight within a 10 day window). It''s like pulling teeth...and she has an excuse each time for why she can''t do one thing or another (apparently they''re the unluckiest and unhealthiest family in the world). And I hate it when she tells me, "oh I''ll do this and send it to you tonight!" and I don''t hear from her for a week (done this multiple times now). Now I''m just pissed again...I want my kittens not just because I want them here, but so I can stop having to contact her

And yes, this doesn''t sound that crucial (mountains out of molehills, lol) but we''ve been playing this game for 10 weeks now - I''m on my last nerve. Arrrgh.

Sorry, just needed to vent. AND she needs to get me that freakin'' health certificate so I can register the kittens with my apt. complex - i don''t know how many times in the last few days I''ve mentioned this. Still don''t have it.

I hate people like this, they really hits a nerve with me because when I say to someone I'm going to do something by tonight, I sure a sh@# do it. This is no way to run a bussiness.

Hope things turn around soon, you get your beautiful kitties and get to evict her from your life ASAP.

Well, it does seem like you've had A LOT of contact with her. I think I recall you posted something about the fact that you hoped she would not get annoyed with you for contacting her too often for pictures, etc. I think you are right when you indicated that you should try to keep this in perspective. I know this is really, really important to you, but the extent of your transaction with her is buying kittens. She lives in another state and has a life, which you indicated is not an easy one. I would suggest practicing some empathy and patience. You will have your kittens before you know it. Sometimes, when you are forced to wait for something, it is also a good practice to recognize the sweetness of the extra time that must pass before you get what you want. I've done this, and it makes waiting much easier to endure.

I know how excited you have been - I''m sure you''re so disappointed! We were lucky that we lived close enough that we were able to pick ours up and visit them during the wait for them to be old enough to come home.

If it makes you feel any better, I can tell you I sometimes had a hard time contacting my breeder. She had three litters that were all born within a couple of weeks of each other so between taking care of them and the studs and queens she really did have her hands full! She had also mentioned to me how difficult it was when people wanted photos because it''s so hard to catch them while the kittens are awake and still. She also works part time at a vet''s office and fed all of the cats a raw diet which is very time consuming even with help. Add to that people coming to look at the kittens and getting them ready to pick up it really adds up to long hours!

I''m just trying to make you feel better - but I would have also been very upset if I couldn''t have gotten my boys on the day I expected them! Hope you have them very soon and can''t wait to see pictures! You will be smitten with them very quickly!

Boo''s breeder was a pain in the arse, too... so I can relate!

I understand how you feel and would be upset too, especially if this is just another drop in a bucket that is already filling up.

However, I got my cats immunized, and they did not react well. One got a fever to 105. She ended up doing OK, but I really had to watch her to make sure she was staying hydrated and using the little box. I would not put her on a plane and send her to someone new. One, cats really hate new environments and eat less in that situation, so it would be hard to tell what the problem was. Two, you really don''t have anyone watching the cat on the flight.

I hope you get them soon. They don''t stay little for long!

Oh man, that sucks

I hate people that are like this, I lose my patience SO fast when someone says they will do something, and then they don''t do it. At least you know that soon you will have your babies and never have to talk to her again.

On a happier note - I AM SO EXCITED! Lol more kitten pictures always make my day!

Thanks guys for your sympathy! I definitely want what''s best for the kittens - I''m just frustrated that she didn''t take them in a little earlier for their shots (it seems like waiting the day before the flight is kind of risky) and I''m just frustrated about the lack of communication. I tried to be more empathetic, but that unfortunately expired a couple weeks ago - it''s been a loooong 10 weeks!

I''m hoping they''ll be home this weekend at the very latest. I''m honestly still not sure what''s going on - if she''s going to book them for Friday, or this weekend, or wait it out until tomorrow. I have no idea - I get very few e-mails from her, and they''re all kind of short on details, and I can''t get a hold of her via phone. I hate feeling like I''m in the dark, when I have two kittens supposed to be coming to me, and she has all my money, including the transportation fee

BF wants to go to a casino tonight to play poker since we have a car and no kittens! lol. So off I go! Thanks guys again!
