Ok, I had my supposed final fitting last week on Friday and nothing had been done to my dress. NOTHING no bustle, no bra cups, no shortening in the back NADA ZIPOLA NOTHING.

We have another apt tonight but I wanted to check that the dress was indeed ready to pick up. My MOH called them this morning and the owner was EXTREMELY RUDE to her. She said that the dress has been ready and all that needing fixing was some beading on the bustle. LIES LIES LIES.

MOH kept her cool and explained what really needed to be done and the lady cut her off and said "we''ll talk about it later" and hung up.

I am very upset and stressed out about what I am going to walk into this evening.

Ohhhhhh IWPO, I'm sorry you have to go through this. It is so very stressful. I went through much the same thing with my dress. My final fitting was dragged out to the very last minute. I picked it up on a Monday evening (late evening) and got on a plane with it that Wednesday. It was supposed to have been done a good week or so earlier. It's all a fog in my memory now. BUT, my point , my dress turned out perfectly! Yours will too! I think lots of these dress shops are used to missing deadlines, but working things out closer to the last minute. Stressful on everyone for sure.

Good luck tonight and try to keep calm knowing that everything will work out even if a little later than you had been promised.

OH IWPO I hope they have everything ready before you get there

ARe these changes that need to be made in order for the dress to fit?

Wow I''d be furious too, especially that the woman was so rude to your MOH. I''m keeping everything crossed that the dress will be ready for tonight.

It just makes me sick that you pay sooo much money and get treated like crap. It is totally unacceptable.

Oh gosh, IWPO, I'm so sorry. I had my final fitting yesterday and I was so nervous about this kind of thing happening. The people at bridal salons should be sensitive to brides, as this is such a stressful time--especially for final fittings, that almost always are happening quite close to the wedding itself. It doesn't sound like they were being sensitive at all

... and certainly not even doing the job.

I hope you'll be pleasantly surprised tonight..............

Oh, that sucks. The total lack of good customer service at bridal shops is ridiculous. I''ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I think we should not be so nice, and should reveal the names of the bridal shops that treat people this way, i.e. with horrible customer service and/or rudeness. Once these shops find out they are losing customers because of bad word of mouth, they will shape up or continue to lose business.

I will be posting a Google business review. Funnily enough, the one review that they already have is less than stellar.

I am so sorry IWPO..that is ridiculous.

IWPO, I''d go a step further and post a review on WeddingWire, maybe your local Knot message board, anywhere brides are likely to go. I think WeddingWire is a new-ish site but I''ve been using it a lot and have found most of the reviews there quite helpful. While it''s always possible that the shop could have a reasonable excuse for being behind on the work, there''s no excuse whatsoever for rudeness and lies.

Whoa....

Whoa...

Whoa...

I would express how P.O''d you are tonight--but in a nice way. Tell them how highly disappointed you are. But don''t unleash your fury until after the dress is perfect and in your posession.

Then...

I would post horrible reviews on every website that lists them as vendor. Call bridal mags...The Knot. Smear em.

Oh gosh, deja vu. I know that feeling.

IWPO, just remember that it usually, thank god, comes all together at the end. Why the salons treat people like this when they know it is such a stressful time is beyond me.

I''m holding my breath for you until you see that everything it done. Wait, I should be suggesting that you breathe...so I will breathe for you because I know the panic you are feeling.....

I was just thinking that this reminded me of Miracle''s dress drama thread and how she and her daughter were treated by their bridal salon.

I second what italia said- I think that its wise to wait until everything is safely in your hands before you leave any reviews. You just never know how proactive the owner of the salon is in monitoring their public image.

My mother is doing the final work on my dress.

My MOH''s dress however is a mess.

It will be a great day all the same

, least I never have to set foot in that store again as the dress is in my possession

.

Be positive, wooooo sarrrr right?

That is awful after all the money that you pay them. Definitely post about them on wedding sites and I''d also write them a letter telling them how disappointed you are with their service. I hate the way so many bridal shops seem to treat people like crap!

But isn''t it funny how nice they are to you when you first go in to look at the dresses!

Always the way isn''t it!

C''est la vie.

Oh, no! I was hoping you''d go back and it would all be fixed. I guess not...

I''m glad your mom can fix your dress. What''s wrong with MOH''s dress? (Or should I not ask?)
