Oh my gosh- I felt like it would never be my turn! But last night, he proposed!!!
I woke up to a dozen roses on the table, with a card that said "I hope this is a sweetest say you''ll never forget." Immediatly I had thoughts turning in my head, but I had no idea that he had bought the diamond yet. Anyways, I had to go into work for a few hours, and when I came home, we went to friend''s of ours for the afternoon to hang out. He had made dinner reservations at 7, so we went to eat and discussed what to do afterwards. We ended up deciding to just come home and have a bonfire for just the two of us at our house, (we live outside of town in the country).
We were out there for at least an hour or maybe more, and we were just being goofy and dancing around, and while we were dancing, he got down on one knee to twirl me around but stopped me after one twirl, and started saying all of these sweet things, then pulled out the diamond and asked me to marry him! I said yes, we went inside and poured champagne and called our family and friends.
I don''t have the actual ring yet- because we decided to pick out the setting together, and that is absolutly fine with me, since we had been throwing around the idea of getting married this next June and that would leave me with not much time to plan. But, the diamond is so beautiful! I feel so proud! It''s a perfect 1.00 ratio cushion cut, .55 cts, G SI 1, and he spent soo much time doing research to pick out something he knew I would love.
I am going to my parents house today, but when I get back I will plan on posting a few pics! Just had to share my excitement!!!
