Yay! We got engaged this weekend and it was wonderful and really romantic! I''m loving my ring and can''t stop staring at it. It''s really hard to take good pictures of it but here''s a few. It was definitely worth the wait!

The ring is a .9 I SI1 eye-clean, excellent cut, polish and symmetry, with .15 H VS pear on each side, platinum setting. It is from Mark Turnowski at engagement rings direct. Here''s a strange thing-I ordered a custom ring from him but on the inside says d. vatche-i''m not sure if that''s good or bad but i love the setting and the stone is soooo sparkly!

thanks for the congrats everyone! jenstone-he actually proposed right where these pictures were taken-we had brought a camera for our hike, and then he asked me to marry him at this spot on a lake we used to hike to all the time when we were younger(we''ve known each other for 12 years). the ring wasn''t a surprise because we picked it out together, but it was still so romantic and i wouldn''t have changed a thing! (except maybe not waiting so long for it!)

thanks everyone! sleepingbeauty-i knew when he picked up the ring, but didn''t see it until he proposed. i''m not a big surprise person and we had talked about getting engaged where we grew up, so i figured it was coming. i don''t think i''d be any more happy if it had been a surprise though-i was thrilled! i''m the type that likes to have something to look forward to instead of being surprised.
