Just a quick question guys, do you think it''d be necessary to have your wedding maps drawn to scale? Or can one take "artisic liberties?" As a guest, would you find it confusing? What would make it less confusing if it wasn''t drawn to scale? Thanks!

artistic liberties ALL THE WAY

If you''re taking artisic liberties with the drawing, you should probably include turn-by-turn directions with mileage just to be safe.

On road maps, they put the number of miles in between each red arrow along the road. What if you did something like that. I got an invitation that did this and it didn''t look all that cluttered. Just an idea, but would probably only work for straight roads.

We did turn by turn directions with our map which was to scale, but a bit misleading.

I don''t think it matters if it is to scale or not, but maybe include directions or a note that says it''s not to scale to avoid confussion.

Our wedding maps were to scale but still adorable, in my opinion.

If they aren''t to scale, I''d include more info.

Here''s our wedding map for reference. Our guests loved it!
