iLander, if my watch is anywhere in or outside this house, it's invisible. I have reamed out the car & garden, looked in all my pockets 3 times, through all drawers, under everything, in the trash, boxes & baskets & pots, every possible place & even more impossible ones. If I had taken it off, there are only 2 or 3 places I would've left it because I'm careful of that, with 2 cats who love to swipe things off of surfaces. I've thought & thought & tried homing in on it by feeling instead of thinking. I checked Craig's List, no dice. 2 of the same watch are on eBay, one listed before I lost mine (for more than its retail price when new, good luck!), can't tell where or when the other was put up but it's from a dealer so unlikely to be mine.

Thank you very much for trying. I have a feeling the picture you got of its location might be in the house of whoever found & kept it. You are an absolute honey in all ways! :wavey: I'm working on a way to replace it w/out going broke & will ask the watch experts here for advice.

Ooooh, this makes me sad! ;(

I was sure we were going to find it. I still feel strongly that it didn't fall off.

Logic only, no real insight, but: Are you sure you didn't put it somewhere high up?

We thought my husband's car title was lost once, and I kept seeing a picture of the room from above. It was weird! So I started looking up high for it. Turned out it was on top of the TV, which was pretty high up, out of our line of sight. He had no recollection of putting it there.

This makes me especially sad, since you helped me soooooo much!!!

YESSSS, Girl!!! You did great with Devine Corp!! Maybe this will get them thinking about more accuracy in their listings & photos (I hope). At least you're not out $250 -- any idea what you'll buy with the store credit or do you want to wait till something calls to you?

I'm sad too about the watch. You were such help, got me looking in places I hadn't thought of -- which, combined w/the ones I did search, covered every thing in every room, plus garage, yard & car. It's nowhere, high or low. (Whew, glad your car title turned up -- that could've been a major bummer.) Big shame, but there it is. Life will go on. Thank you a million anyway -- and if it does somehow materialize, I'll let you know.

Did you try calling the Costco? My DH said maybe it fell off in the parking lot and someone turned it in. It's worth a shot.

I'm still feeling badly about your watch, Laurie. ::)

Oh, Laurie, I am so sorry you lost your watch! I really hope it turns up!

Thank you, DS. Yes, iLander, I called Costco, every store I'd been to over about 4 days, the vet. Loved the Post Office woman -- she asked what it looked like, I said gold with, whimper, diamonds around the face. After a few minutes away, she comes back to the phone & says, "Maam, the closest thing I have is a pair of reading glasses with rhinestones!" Had to give a big laugh. I even emailed our development mailing list w/a reward offer, got the whole population out scouring the place in case I'd lost it walking the dogs. Nothing. The poor thing is simply an orphan somewhere, though probably has been re-homed. Well, life will go on.

Thanks so much for your commiseration, makes me less grumpy!
