LOL!

You're wife and....diamonds...watches... :cheeky:

Faithfully by Journey (old but classic)

Crazy Love by Van Morrison. :naughty:

SO just played/sang that song by U2..."You say...you want...diamonds in a ring of gold...your story to remain untold..."

Beautiful song, and he has a beautiful voice and wonderful guitar skills! My heart was melting. Love him. I'm very lucky to have a man who will serenade me any chance he gets.

Since we've been together/apart multiple times over 30 years, there are multiple songs, multiple "phases" if you will. The last "apart" time was "Ghost Story" by Sting, and "Wall of Silence" by October Project. Now that we are back together for good, it is "Brand New Day" by Sting, an album we both purchased during our final, futile, hiatus. ;))

DH has been working on a building project for all of our marriage. Slowly. Slower than that.

I could play Another Brick in the Wall by Pink Floyd maybe two or three times a year, and that would just about describe his progress...

Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend

Ooo!! What a gorgeous voice he has! Sigh.....

Tenors are great and all, but a good baritone pretty much does me in. ;))

If you like that, you need to have a copy of "I Met You My Love", an album of Dmitri Hvorostovsky singing old Russian romances. Trust me.

That sounds like a coworker of mine. Her hubby insists that there's always something that can be fixed/painted/upgraded in the house. I think she's sick of living in a construction zone.

AGBF - Your song is beautiful. I'm often jealous of countries/people with long histories and heritage to cherish (something which I don't have).

DH just corrected me that the song I chose should be second, with this one, The Masochism Tango. We would always dance to it at Swing Dance nights and it's the song he proposed to

Considering we split apart for a short while, before finally settling down and having our boy, it would have to be...

Oh, and we both think the song is absolutely beautiful...

LOL! I do just ADORE Tom Lehrer. I discovered him back in 1981 and have been a fan ever since. "New Math" is a fave of mine. And his stylistic take on the folksong "Clementine" is hilarious.

Hmm. Everyone seems to be linking youtube, so, since I imagine not that many people have even heard of October Project, here is a link to "Wall of Silence".

Ours would be Memories of Us by Keith Urban. When we got together we'd always talk about more memorable events as being "another memory for the memory book" and when he graduated high school I actually made our first memory book for us. We keep mementos and tokens from every event, as well as lots of pictures to keep the memory books running.

Tim McGraw -My Best Friend

Forever Yours by Michael W. Smith

Everything - Michael Bublé

although our song is Collide - Howie Day

But the Michael Bublé is how I feel right now :D Even after almost 6 years together (can't get to youtube at work but I'll post the lyrics)

You're a falling star, you're the get away car.
You're the line in the sand when I go too far.
You're the swimming pool, on an August day.
And you're the perfect thing to say.

And you play it coy but it's kinda cute.
Ah, when you smile at me you know exactly what you do.
Baby don't pretend that you don't know it's true.
'cause you can see it when I look at you.

[Chorus:]
And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times
It's you, it's you, you make me sing.
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.

You're a carousel, you're a wishing well,
And you light me up, when you ring my bell.
You're a mystery, you're from outer space,
You're every minute of my everyday.

And I can't believe, uh that I'm your man,
And I get to kiss you baby just because I can.
Whatever comes our way, ah we'll see it through,
And you know that's what our love can do.

[Chorus]

So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

[Chorus:]
And in this crazy life, and through these crazy times
It's you, it's you, you make me sing.
You're every line, you're every word, you're everything.
You're every song, and I sing along.
'Cause you're my everything.
Yeah, yeah

So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
So, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
